The Mini 3 Pro's video quality never fails to impress! My old Mini 2 is great but whenever I look at the shots from the Mini 3 Pro, I'm always reminded why upgrading was worth it!
Having a portrait mode is what really sets this drone apart from other drones! It's a great thing too that DJI decided to add the fun elements like the hyperlapse and smart tracking on vertical shooting mode!

FYI I'm getting usable, smooth course lock videos at 2 second intervals. Also without a point of interest selected, but locking at an angle, the drone will fly at an angle the whole flight. I play with Hyperlapse a LOT, as you can tell, lol.

What setting does the camera need to be in, Cinema or Sport? I shot a few today using waypoint and course lock and they both came out wobbly, panning left to right constantly. Wind speed was approximately 16kmph
I generally use Cine, but it should not make difference for hyperlapses. I agree that Course lok doesn't work properly at the moment, but Waypoint works quite well for me. I would try to do all the calibrations, especially IMU and then have another go

While recording a waypoint hyperlapse, if in any in between waypoint is set with camera pointing 90 degree down, my Mini 3 Pro is getting stuck there and keeps on taking photos at same point instead of rebounding the camera up to continue the remaining way points - Did you try this or faced this issue ?

Nice video. Just a quick question: on hyperlapse mode, are the pictures still available on the SD card or are removed when the video is generated. I am more interested on the pictures. I am asking because, when doing a panorama shoot, after the drone takes those 20 pictures and generate the pano, the original pictures are removed. Is any option to prevent pictures being removed?
Thank you Christian, when you enter hyperlapse mode, you can choose if you want to save the individual photos either in RAW or in JPEG. By default no photos are saved, unless you choose so. I find that a bit annoying. The same applies to Panorama: you can specify if you want to keep the individual photos, as you can see in this video: ruclips.net/video/ARuaVJ8W8H4/видео.html
Excellent video. I'm really enjoying the hyperlapse feature. I have ND filters for video already, and I would be curious to know how you choose your ND for hyperlapses. Do you basically aim for an ND that would give smooth video, or do you need something darker? Oh, one minor suggestion for your videos. If possible, you might want to drop an EQ on your voice and reduce the frequency in the 100-250Hz. You can also highpass and just get rid of anything sub-60hz. It would get rid of the muddiness in your voice and make it a bit clearer. :)
Thank you, for hyperlapses I always use a much slower shutter speed compared to video. No faster than 1/5 of a second, and possibly 1 second. So, if shooting in full day a very strong ND is needed (also considering the very wide aperture of the Mini 3).I tend to shoot them around sunset or sunrise, in this case a much lighter ND filter is fine. After sunset it is possible to shoot without filter. Thank you for the head up about the voice. My microphone is not working properly and I have ordered a new one
@@VICVideopIC Awesome! I have the polarized "bright day" set from freewell, but I did also pick up an ND 1000. It sounds like the ND1000 may be the way to go for mid day! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience! :) With regard to vocals, a couple other things that help is a slight mid boost between 8k-12k Hz, and a little bit of compression goes a long way as well. I have shot a good deal of waypoint hyperlapses and so far I haven't had any issues

yes the big town is Catania, the other ones are made in villages not far away on the Est coast of Sicily and in the foothills of Mount Etna
I have the two plus batteries and not a chance you get 47 minutes fly time sorry lol 😅 😆 just wrong
The announced fly time is on ideal conditions.
In real life it is around 35-40 minutes according to the conditions, which is still very good

Hey Vic, DJI added 2 second interval on Mini 3 Pro with FW V01.00.0201 (well, .0200, but that was updated to .201 the next day for a bug.
