- This is an expanded version of my introduction to our recent NATS Conference plenary session, Ethics of a Profession: Workplace Safety in Performance & Pedagogy. During the panel there was not enough time to go into the level of detail for each topic that I raised, so this provides a more robust picture of the ways that I would like to see the culture surrounding classical singing evolve to be more equitable, supportive and transparent.

Claudia, this is a fantastic presentation. You eloquently touch on so many aspects of toxicity and corruption within the culture of our schools and workplaces in such a short time. I applaud your insight and and I concur wholeheartedly with your diagnosis of the problems we face. Brava.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. It was very gratifying to lead this panel.
