There is a young man where I work. He didn't know that I made soap. He was excited that he renovated his bathroom told me colors. I know you visualize things! As he talking, my brain is visualizing what he is saying. I made him soap. He looked at my boss, and said. "It is exactly what he visualized!" I gave him the soaps as a gift. Everyone was asking if I can make this and that! I'm not a company yet! Lol! They are willing to help with the tech support! I love your channel! Sorry about the massive message!

My first vendor event for macrame, I made $50 and it was a 8 hour long event... My most recent one was a 2 day event at a show that was not my target market AT ALL and I profited close to $300! Going into my biggest event of the year next month and taking in all these tips from you guys! Thank you so much for sharing!

I'm hoping to start selling at a local farmer's market next month so I loved seeing all the different displays you showed! The main market here is way too expensive for me... $80 per day. There's a smaller one that's actually closer, which I'm hoping is cheaper lol
I will definitely get a waitress apron though!

I appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experiences, I've just started my business in January of this year with my website and social media, and now just starting my journey into events and farmer's markets. I've completed two events and have had sales at both, and I've already learned so much just from those two events, and they were small! I have a big one coming up in a few days and I'm excited to put in use some pointers you shared! Thank you again and I love watching your videos!

Hi Jerika & Kale! Thank you so much for sharing your Farmers Market experience. I just completed my first Farmers Market in Virginia Beach selling my Tidewater Soaps and it was great. It was a Honey Festival and I gave away cute honey bee stickers to the kids. It was fun and it drew people to my table which was difficult because there were so many vendors there. I exceeded my sales goal but I wanted to sell more. I can see how your tips will really help with displaying my soaps in a more attractive way and make them easier to view. You're Awesome!

I have been watching your videos for sometimes now and I never commented. This video about your company's progress through the years is amazing and I want to say THANK YOU for the candid feedback. I make and sell soap to raise funds for a cure for a rare genetic disease. Your videos are always great to watch. This one is no exception. I'm looking forward to seeing what successes lay ahead for Quench Bear.

The joys of evolving. It's taken me 5 years just to get my displays to where they are now and there is always room for improvement. I think in general, if things are feeling stagnant, there is no better time to evaluate the situation and what can stay and what can go. Such a great video too. You both have come a long way and imagine what's waiting around the corner for you. ❤️

Always so excited when you drop another video! I am so grateful for how generous you are with your knowledge and experience. I am setting up my own soap business in the UK, aiming mostly for online sales, but my plan is to use live events to collect email addresses for my email list (my website is still being constructed). I have done one small event so far, a village Platinum Jubilee Fête. I didn't expect to make sales (but still set my whole stall up) instead I gave free soap samples for everyone that signed up. I did well for emails, but what I also discovered that people a) love something free and will stop, who otherwise would have looked the other way and scurried past, and b) once they had given me their email address didn't feel 'beholden' to buy something, so instead I could just chat about my soaps and packaging and really enthuse them about it too. I did sell 15 bars, which surprised me, and I am sure I wouldn't have sold those if people hadn't been stopping to get their free sample. TLDR: free samples are an *amazing* sales tool!

Thanks for the video and insight! I am in my first year of a skin and body business and I’ve learned A LOT! Lol, I learned that lesson of really researching craft shows, pop ups and events. It’s so easy to make mistakes because you want your business to get some buzz so you jumping at every opportunity. We have learned the hard way! From shady vendor to indoor/outdoor events and more. I am currently still trying to find my display setup. You are right on levels and white. I started to elevate my soap, oils and more. I definitely get more visits! I recently over the past few months starting changing to white items for displaying. Hoping I like how it looks lol in a upcoming conference event this week. Thanks again Jerika! From RUclips to pateron you are amazing! ❤️

I keep out tester body cream containers. I use the sticks too and I keep another container for the used sticks. I started that near the beginning and I’ve gotten more than a few sales from people being able to test it out so I keep it still. And learning what works and what doesn’t is a huge part of all of this. My first packaging has made a huge evolution but our name and logo stay the same

As someone who is just starting out, and just beginning to get some stock in hopes of selling, how long did it take you to finalize a price for your soaps? I see sometimes you have them as $8 and sometimes as $7. Did you sort of gage how the last market went, and then priced from there? Love your videos Jerika, they truly are helpful for us beginners!

When you started markets with your bath bombs, did you make a lot of them or did you start out with small amounts of bath bombs? We just started going to a market and we only made a few bath bombs in a couple scents because we were afraid they wouldn't sell and we didn't want to have a lot left over. Would you suggest making more?
