    Best of Mighty Shadow - Greatest Hits Old Soca Mix - Tribute to Mighty Shadow
    Born in Belmont, a suburb of Port of Spain, Bailey grew up in Les Coteaux, Tobago. He won the Road March in 1974 with “Bassman” and 2001 with the tune “Stranger” making him the competition’s oldest winner.
    Bailey was also was the second person to win both the International Soca Monarch and the Trinidad Road March competitions simultaneously, a feat he accomplished in 2001 with his song “Stranger”.
    He won the Calypso Monarch in 2000 with “What’s Wrong With Me” and “Scratch Meh Back”.
    Socahub Video is the home of Caribbean Carnival Culture which includes new and old soca music, new and old calypso music, steel band music and Soca Chutney music From Trinidad and across the Caribbean. Features the best of old and new calypso & Soca music, Chutney Soca and Steelband music. Soca Music is more then just a genre, its an entire lifestyle!

    As a Jamaican who was introduced to Shadow as my first point of contact with Calypso, I am compelled to comment here of my long time love and appreciation for the greatest, Mighty Shadow ... Will continue to play his music, often, as I've done religiously for decades 🖤

    So sorry he’s gone, so happy to have lived to enjoy his artistry. He was one of the major reasons why I one day back in the early 90’s boarded a trans Atlantic plane to carnival Trinidad.

    I enjoyed the Tribute the gave to you, but TnT need to show honor to our Artistes before they leave tbis earth, so they can feel appreciated. Sorry he never felt the love we had for him. I know he knows it now. May you Rip now. One love, my Shsdow.
