Carson Sasuke doesn't have the Amaterasu because of Itachi. Itachi implanted just a one time use Amaterasu on Sasuke for Tobi/Madara. Sasuke and Itachi both have Amaterasu in one eye as their own abilities. Itachi has the Tsukuyomi in the other eye and Sasuke has the Kagatsuchi(inferno style flame control). It seems Sasuke's MS ability is based around Amaterasu and its control. Itachi only had the simple Amaterasu with the Tsukuyomi(I think it has something to do with his character and inclination of being a genjutsu specialist). At this point we can also assume that Susanoo' is not a unique ability but all Uchiha have potential access to it once they awaken mangekyo in both eyes. This can be assumed because it seems people at the summit were aware of it.
We can tell because when sasuke uses the implanted amatarasu it looks like itachis mongekyo design

i don't know why people find it hard to believe sasuke and madara were ordinary sharingan eye nothing special like obito,shisui, and itachi.

If I'm not mistaken, the mangekyou sharingan abilities do come from specific eyes. *I believe it is made to match the mythology of japanese gods.*
Amaterasu was born from Izanagi's left eye, so it comes from the left sharingan. Tsukuyomi was born from the right eye, so it comes from the right sharingan.
Susanoo was born from Izanagi's nose, but that wouldn't make sense so I think Kishimoto made it so it comes from drawing power from both eyes.
Also, just leaving an extra piece of knowledge, *Izanami is the name of Izanagi's wife, who is known as a god of creation and death.*
Sasuke never had Tsukuyomi. That's an Itachi exclusive as far as we know. Sasuke's left eye does Amaterasu and his right eye does Inferno Style allowing him to control and shape the black flames and possibly other fire-based attacks. All sharingan users have access to basic, but potent genjutsu abilities through visual contact with their target and these can be refined with sharingan progression and training. Tsukuyomi allows one to freely control time and space and the target's perception of time and space within the genjutsu. In fact, it's so powerful that once hit with the Tsukuyomi Itachi can force someone to live out the reminder of their life inside their mind, killing them instantly in the real world. If you truly get caught with it by someone wanting to do you harm, you're pretty much fucked.

@@reekrodriqguez6552 Well, it is stated from early on that having a Mangekyou sharingan will put you on more even footing in a battle against someone else with Mangekyou, for obvious reasons. This is why the show heavily implies Sasuke will need to obtain it to stand a chance against Itachi. However, I don't believe its stated anywhere explicitly in the canon that simply possessing a Mangekyou will allow you to escape Tsukuyomi full stop once caught under its effects unless the caster allows you to. I could totally be wrong about this and if that is the case it makes reasonable sense.

Yes, Tsukuyomi is an Itachi exclusive mangekyou ability. It's one of the most common misconceptions in the fandom. The mangekyou does increase the potency of someone's genjutsu, but not to the level of the tsukuyomi. Also Lindsay is correct, each mangekyou eye has its own unique ability. I can't remember if it's explicitly stated, but throughout the whole series there are no feats that show otherwise.
it's not exclusive to itachi even his father could do it. remember how fugaku showed itachi how it would've ended if they got through the coup d'etat through his own tsukuyomi? hell even the mastermind plot is named INFINITE TSUKUYOMI that madara could use or have you all forgotten lmao.
@@chad63 I'm assuming you're talking about the scene in one of the Itachi filler episodes, but even if you count that scene as canon, it's still not stated by anyone ever that Fugaku used tsukuyomi. I'm not saying it's impossible, since Sasuke and Itachi both possess Amaterasu, but saying Fugaku could have tsukuyomi is pure speculation since there's no concrete proof. As for the infinite tsukuyomi, it's a genjutsu cast on the world using the moon and the name tsukuyomi refers to the moon god in Japanese mythology, so it makes sense for the jutsu to also be called tsukuyomi, but it's not the same jutsu as Itachi's tsukuyomi. The mechanics are similar, but the processes to acquire each jutsu and their level of power are very different. Like I said, one of the most common misconceptions in Naruto.

Like most of the comments already said it is implied every uchiha has 3 different abilities with their MS. Sasukes right eye is amaterasu and the other is enton kagutsuchi. But it seems like every uchiha has Susanoo when using both eyes.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
I've always thought the MS abilities are some kind of a mirror to your personality.
Itachis signature was the tsukuyomi because his whole life was keeping people in an illusion. Obitos MS is the kamui where he can flee "into another world".
Sasukes is completely focused around the amaterasu because he just wants to destroy everything in his way like the black flames consume everything in their way. Near the end of the story sasuke mastered the enton kagutsuchi which really reflects his development throughout the series. He is no more consumed by his hate and doesn't want to destroy everything anymore. Like he manipilates the flames to his own will shows thst he just wants to eliminate certain people to bring (his kind of) piece.
Sasuke will always be my favorite.

You can tell the difference between how sasuke and itachi use the MS. Itachi uses it as a last resort. You can tell because it took years for his eye sight to wane. Sasuke abuses it so it only took him like a day to almost go blind.

Sasuke doensn't have tsukuyomi, Tsukuyomi was an ability specific to Itachi's right Mangekyo. Each Mangekyo eye has a specific ability: Itachi's right is Tsukuyomi and his Left is Amaterasu ; Sasuke's right has Amaterasu and his left has the ability to control the black flames' form and move them , the so called "inferno style" or "Enton" in Japonese. Itachi and Sasuke both had the Amaterasu because they are closely blood related( probably). The only power that is consistent with every Mangekyo User is the Susano'o, the other two powers are different between people.

That’s correct, Sasuke has Amaterasu in his left eye and Flame Control, the ability to shape, bend, extinguish, and control the flames in his right eye. And Itachi has Amaterasu in his right eye and Tsukuyomi in his left. However there are several Uchiha that have the same ability in both eyes, that serve slightly different functions for example both of Shisui’s eyes have Kotomatsukami, but his left eye is far less powerful than his right. His left has a function which controls the casted temporarily , but his right has an effect which can control indefinitely unless disturbed, which has a 10 year cooldown. The one that Danzo was using at the summit on Mifune was Shisui’s right eye.
Sasuke vs Danzo was such a cool fight to see for the first time.

Sasuke does not have tsukuyomi; he only has regular sharingan genjutsu. Also sasuke has amaterasu because he unlocked his mangekyo not because itachi gave it to him.

Every Uchiha who has the Sharingan can use basic genjutsu with their sharingan. The jutsu itself is called Genjutsu: Sharingan. The Mangekyo Sharingan enhances the genjutsu that's casted, but Itachi is the only canon user for Tsukuyomi. Itachi's left eye uses Tsukuyomi and his right eye uses Amaterasu. Sasuke's left eye casts Amaterasu and his right eye can use flame control to manipulate the flames. Itachi can't shape or manipulate the flames like Sasuke can and Sasuke can't use Tsukuyomi.

13:23 yes, that person is correct, Sasuke does not have Tsukuyomi, what he did is a standard sharingan genjutsu. Tsukuyomi is a special type of genjutsu, one of the most powerful ones alongside Kotoamatsukami, only Itachi is known to have that, and the Eye of the Moon plan is based on Tsukuyomi, it is also known as Infinite Tsukuyomi.
I understand that Sasuke's actions might be seen wrong from certain point of view, but I mean Danzo's like the last guy who can blame him for that, considering what he himself has done...

6:30 I think he's angry with Itachi because he held him in higher esteem than most. They're both patriots who will do anything to protect the Leaf he thought Itachi wouldn't foil their plan by telling Sasuke about the Leaf's involvement in the Uchiha massacre (and he didn't to begin with Madara told him, but Danzo doesn't know that.)
It's just reflects his world view. Danzo isn't mad his plan is "ruined" he would expect idealists like Hiruzen or Naruto to fop up and reveal the plan. But not Itachi. Itachi had the resolve to do what needed to be done. he thinks he misjudged Itachi's resolve.

Every Genjutsu sasuke or itachi use is not tsukuyomi.. most of them are basic Genjutsu just enhanced by the mangekyo Sharingan
tsukuyomi is itachis mangekyo power, and it is the only jutsu that cant be escaped with the help of tailed beasts because the jutsu takes place in a PICO second the jutsu would be finished before the tailed beast even realised its host was traped in it, the other reason is that itaachi stated that only an uchiha with the mangekyo sharingan can escape it which means that he let sasuke get out of it and proves what tobi said about itachi being sick and holding back.
Sasuke doesn't have Tsukuyomi, the only one in the entire Naruto verse that has it is Itatchi, which sucks cause it's really cool. Sasuke's two Mangekyo abilities are Amaterasu for one eye and Blaze Release: Kagatsuchi (Inferno Style: Flame Control in the dub), which allows him to control the black flames for his other. The crazy strong genjutsu he's been using in this arc are just regular Sharingan genjutsu amped by his Mangekyo.

Ninjas assassinated, toiled in shadow, changed identities, spread lies and most importantly completed their missions at all cost. There is no honor among ninjas, they get the job done. Danzo,itachi and foundation were real ninjas while others call themselves ninjas but they're much like soldiers.

The intense dislike of Danzo speaks volumes in Lindsey's perspective although I'm not totally disagree in Danzo and the elders past actions but you know it is a necessary plot for character development for sasuke for better or worse.
Danzo is that one friend we all have who wants to do things in a particular way and when the rest refuses cuz they'd much rather do it in some other way, he goes and creates a new friend group who agrees with him.
Just Genjutsu, for some strange reason Sasuke doesn't have Tsukyomi. He has Kagutsuchi in his other eye which he used vs the Raikage. The ability to control the flames of Amaterasu.
For all that Sasuke has gone through I just wonder like even after Sasuke gets what he wants then what does he wanna rule the world ? You only have one thing for each eye. They've said that before. The susanoo is the third ability and you have to have two mangekyou for it to work

You do have one technique per eye, and then susanoo is for both, and Itachi had one with amaterasu and one with tsukuyomi
19:32 yes, one thing(jutsu) for each eye, mangekyou abilties are unique, it does not mean that 2 people can not have same jutsu (amatrasu or another jutsu) it's just that there is a genetic factor as to who gets what... just like how DNA works(part relation based and part random)....sasuke does not have tsukoyomi, he has amatrasu(left eye) and black flame control(right eye)
About the genjutsu. It's just genjutsu enhanced with mangekyo, Itschi is the only tsukuyomi user, though I'm not sure about later in the show when sasuke something something, not gonna leave spoil.
FYI normal genjustu takes place in the real world like you won’t even know your in it while tsukuyomi takes place in a colored world like red and black or white and black

Itachi was brainwashed by Senju clan motto "will of fire " and he was like Kakashi when he was little obeying his superiors without questions and placing mission above comrades and feelings , that is why after Shisui told him that Danzo attacked him and stole his eyes he didn't go to Third Hokage telling him about Danzo , no he listened to Danzo's tale of the possible future instead of thinking with his own head and he even knew about the masked Man who he suspected was Madara Uchiha and prime suspect for the Nine Tails attack,the same attack the whole Uchiha clan was accused without proof the sole reason the Uchiha weren't trusted any more and removed from the center of the Village to the outskirts so they can be spied on and observed by Anbu . If Itachi really loved his brother he would have saved his family and all civilians and non fighters that had no part in Coup de'ta , or at least other kid Uchiha so that he wouldn't be lonely , he could have told the elders that if Anbu came at him he will spill all the secrets of Konoha to all the other main Villages or took Sasuke with him than torturing him and destroying his whole life , i wonder what would he done if Orochimaru took over his body when he was 12 year old , all Itachi's plans would be gone ,he sacrificed his whole clan and family so Danzo can collect Sharingan eyes like Pokemon cards . It's regular genjutsu, every mangekou has a special ability to each person personally, like tsukoyomi is only itachi.
BTW Susuke can't use can't Tsukuyomi. One eye's power is amaterasu and second had flame control.
You dont see itachi with the mangekyo when he does the bird thing, this is just normal genjutsu

Itachi is the only person (uchiha member) that can use tsukuyomi in the entire world. No other uchiha have or will ever have the ability to use it again now when Itachi is dead. But each and every sharingan has the ability to create quite strong illusions, as long as the owner of the eye is good at it.
Correction, if someone were to transplant Itachi’s sharingan, then they would be able to use it. At least until the eye finally goes blind, which at this point probably is after a single use. And Sasuke can’t get the ability if he would do the transplant, he would simply retain his abilities and would then have them forever without any risks when activated

What is truly disgusting about Danzo.. he has like 9 or 10 Sharingan down the outside of his arm, his palm and the back of his hand.. Ok, fine... But we have no idea how many Uchiha died the day Itachi and Madara attacked the clan. We can see from the layout in flashbacks that it is a pretty big area.. and the flashbacks of the massacre we see at least 15-20 bodies just on the route Sasuke took home from ninja school... The total population of Konoha is estimated at around 80,000 people.. most shinobi, some retired, lots are children, some are civilians running ramen shops). So lets say 1% of the villiage is the Uchiha clan, about 800 people in the clan. But the Sharingan isn't availble to every single Uchiha, its still a somewhat rare trait among the clan. So lets say that's about 200 people in the clan that have awakened their Sharingan.
So why is danzo blazing through eyes? Why have a jutsu using eyes that you cannot replenish that close after using "that jutsu"?? Because he has probably 400 eyes of dead Uchiha sitting in a vat back home he can reload his arm with...
Danzo isn't just using some eyes he found on some dead folks.. He probably orchistrated the massacre using Shusi's eye who died before itachi murdered everyone, but after Orochimaru left the village.. So Danzo got that eye, used Orchimaru to be able to use the eye.. used the eye to persuade the elders to launch the assault using Itachi.
Danzo thinks he did it to protect the villiage, but he clearly did this massive powergrab to be able to die 400 times to thwart assassination attempts.

So Sasuke has Amaterasu and Inferno style in his eyes the later just lets him control the shape of the black flames. Itachi could only set shit on fire he couldn't make a shield out of it around the Susano rib cage like Sasuke did it was just a general genjustu he used to make Itachi appear.....minor spoiler that's told in the next ep but he was just confirming genjustu does work on him
they did mentioned it in the itachi vs sasuke fight while zetsu was narrating the fight he said itachi left eyes holds the most powerful genjutsu an the right hold the most powerful ninjutsu
I mained danzo in... ninja storm 2? I was so annoying, I would get him to release form and then spam ranged attacks, up closed and far away because they would lock the opponent
