Yes, around this past May I removed it from the pot and planted it about six feet from a south-facing wall. I'll still need to protect it during the coldest nights, but the larger it gets - the easier this should become.
I've never seen a grafted variety burn. True seedlings grown from pits however, sometimes fail to handle the sun well. I've seen a couple of instances where one seedling beside another one, same age, same soil, could only grow in shade. Genetic variation is a strange thing...
