In Johto shortly after the events of the burning tower. The region is ravaged by war. In a last ditch effort Celebi throws an unsuspecting Ethan or Kris into the past with the hope that they can somehow alter past events to stop the war from ever happening. It seems they were sent further back than intended and there are problems even in this era lurking in the shadows that need to be discovered.
