hbox is jigglypuff solo main in melee and made it to top 8 and beat multiple top 100 players at a major. No excuses.

Can someone tell me if sonix ever played any other characters competitively or was it always sonic?
Sonic is his main. DK was his secondary but I could be wrong. However, Sonix doesn't play other characters that much, so the only main he had was Sonic.
He might go Roy,dk or bayo when he's sandbagging but sonic is his solo main in serious competitive settings.
M2K stage hazard was always on. You gotta do it again.

Is sonic actually fun to watch even for ultimate players? Not trying to hate, I'm actually asking that as a dead serious question! I play melee and ngl watching the run to one side of the stage, charge spindash, then go to the other side of the stage, repeat til you get a hit confirm is really hard to watch.... Is there nuance here that makes it more interesting for ultimate players who have a better sense of nuetral?

Only because Puff is a counter to Sonic which would slow the game down.
Puff and Sonic matchups are better with characters who are opposite stats wise.
Then again, it depends on playstyle.
I dont even play ultimate but that sonix guy looks wack AF. Spamming the same move and running away. Its like a Melee fox that just runs to the opposite side of the map while i get a small lead playing a non top tier like Dr.Mario

Dude I’mma be real Puff Sonic might actually be the least fun matchup in this game.
Basically, the flow of the fight of these two is slow.
Puff can camp in the air and Sonic can camp on the ground. If ether one starts, the other will respond with the same.
Other than that Sonic's speed give him some extra momentum in air so it would be hard to position. Puff's weight and floatiness does the same.
Turns it into a thinking game.
Sonic and Puff have more interesting matchup than each other, but in a duos match is a different story.
it's worse at the fact that sonix LITERALLY has the best matchup against puff, and still lost a single game as his main to hbox.

In order to _legitimately_ beat him wouldn't you have to beat him while he's playing Sonic? Playing without your main is a handicap for Pros. So what you're saying is you can't beat Sonix _unless_ he's handicapped? That doesn't really make a heck of a lot of sense. Why not challenge him to a best of 5, with him playing _as_ Sonic? Surely that would legitimize the bravado more than a contest where you purposely maneuver the pieces so that you can win. Right?
