No.1 reason to sacrifice and remove all the junk (especially digital) from our lives: social media, porn, addictive videogames - primarily investing our extremely invaluable potential of life time into training what calls to us, what we know we should be training, what our mind would have wished we'd become stronger in if this were our last day. Life legacy goals always call to us, we have to meditate and journal everyday to listen within. Digital distraction filler will make a lot harder to listen within - that challenge is sacrificing the junk information that would never give us any investment in our real legacy worth writing about in history. The West trains most to selflessly grind for someone else and do most of the work for least of the commission. This is not challenging the self enough to tolerate a lifetime. What's really fascinating is how a hefty salary can temp so many into stop challenging themselves and self-destruct. Not enough personal structure and challenging-self framework and suddenly an extreme comfort. Same problem with pornography, a sudden extreme comfort for our sexual evolution - wrecks the whole process. Lied about sexual liberation, it insults our human sexuality - mocks it - exploits it. Sexual salary we never earned, often the same with paid salaries over time as the challenges fade and the individual burns out and the company fires tens of thousands of them. Something to this beyond the surface messages in the news and failing economy - helps to ask who actually runs most of its work and why exactly is this aspect failing. Part of it is a problem in the design from the start to remove incentive for self-challenge, getting out of shape, working purely stagnant in the mind and not aligned with our nature of physical activity activating a vast majority of our brain. The mind evolved for physical motion and deeper thinking to orchestrate this motion intensive survival. Baseline dopamine plummets without the daily motion and with excess overstimulating rapid medicore spiking in sedentary technologies. Many today might actually be digitally chasing a lot of wellbeing that naturally is supposed to be there from daily raw and real routines in nature that made us.
I’ve downloaded a bunch of your videos & transferred them to my Apple Music, I play them on repeat either when I’m preparing for the day or while I’m sleeping as a way to continue strengthening my mindset and subconscious 🙏🏾
Team Battle-tested! This sounds so much like my self-talk, and it's nice to hear it externally ❤. Also, so true about being an athlete and how that competitive edge helps you in other areas & throughout life. Been an athlete since 10 years old and will continue to play sports until the final beat of my heart. Thanks for the profound message.
Excellent, new sub here. I've been binge-watching you for a few of weeks now. Would love to hear your perspective on being in the present and on being in the flow. The algos do their job when we program them to 😉
Many thanks for sharing your wisdom. It's one of your strengths, and I feel privileged to have come across you on RUclips. God Bless you always. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
"Train your brain, Face the pain" Great takeaways; I'm in that territory (again) of aiming to get better and being intentional at it. (Also, shout out to the lefthand gang)
Let me start off by saying I had first discovered Damien through his nutrition and wellness videos which he has since decided to take down (really think this is his area not sure about psychology) and have since come across his new channel. As a psychology student progressing to become a clinical professional, I have feedback regarding your reference to the late Earl Nightingale. Earl talked of what you're refering to as setting goals and reaching them through self efficacy. I want to point out, that if you are going to talk about psychology, you need to 1) reference actual established principles and applied concepts and 2) please make your tone less about speaking to the struggling people and instead putting your listener in the place you would want to see them in through articulating your point through 1. I think you caught yourself at one point during this video and I think you have a lot of truth to share and apply through psychology! I'm sharing this because I believe in your content, Damien!
That run on instincts and not the ability to reason as a human being does. That was the point in referencing the mind. I’ll stand down if you can prove that we don’t run on logic and reason which differentiates us from animals. Thanks for watching.
“Whatever you’ve done, it is just a fraction of what you could do” 🥶🔥🔥🔥
There's always another level. We have yet to fathom what the human brain could achieve. We use such a small part of it.

I experienced a natural high when he said that.
