I´ve never seen a video of Dr. Kovacs hitting a single ball. I would love to see a 5 min. video of him serving (flat, slice, kick) and hitting forehands and backhands. I think that, applying his own knowledge, he must be an excellent player.

Totally agreed! If he can't demonstrate what he is talking about, how to prove his saying effectively

You do know he was an All American and a 2X NCAA Doubles Champion...just saying he was a beast with a Ph.D!

The guy does NOT apply the indications referred to in the initial exercise, i.e. the weight on the rear leg., he shifts too early the weight on the front foot .

they kid has an ok serving motion except for the fact that he's not pushing his front hip forward for a bow position(he only bends his knees)

just pushing the front hip forward is what they are trying to get rid of now. Dr. Kovacs has analysed and published a paper on the kinetic chain of the tennis serve. What is more important is instead of pushing the hip forward, one must twist the core while bending the knees and loading the BACK hip (which is also achieved by pushing the hip forward)

I watched the video a few times and I still couldn't figure out what exactly they're trying to change to his service technique (it might be the fact that he can't hit a flat serve as well as a slice serve but I couldn't tell by listening to the conversation). The kid has a pretty solid serving motion using a delayed dominant arm technique similar to Karlovic and by the looks of it, he can serve 100+mph. Regarding the front hit push (bow trophy pose) most ATP players do it including Raonic, Isner, Roddick, Sampras etc. There are also a few players that don't do it like Federer, Dimitrov and a few other. It's a very simple concept. The more you load, the more power you can generate by unloading. The bowing action if used correctly can probably add a few extra mph. It definitely doesn't hurt the kinetic chain, otherwise, you wouldn't see all these 140+mph ATP guys using it. Also, twisting the core and pushing the hip forward are not mutually exclusive. They work together for extra loading and power.

      Stefan Rahovean you're right
There is no exclusively right way to deliver kinetic chain...
