Thanks, I sold my son my 2004 Blazer and he hit something with it. He needed to change out the front bumper. You have an immense amount of knowledge. please post all that you have about Chevy trucks, I will have him look at the chevy site that you mention...
I have a 2001 Ls chevy Blazer with the same front end parts that you installed from the 98.So it`s amazing what gm did and didn`t do for each year model s10 and blazers
me and my friend took the headliner out of his s10 and we found a fabric made by RealTree, its a camo pattern and we replaced his sagging headliner. fabric and adhesive cost about 30$ for a totally new and custom feel to the interior. i would recommend trying it it was very easy and turned out great
dirty dan, i would agree with you that the older front end looks far superior when intact, but i would rather have an intact ugly grill than a smashed up pretty grill. the older style ones are so much harder to find depending on where you are. one thing that really gets me is why people swap out old mirrors for new ones. i really like the older style mirrors
Ive seen one S10 in my neighborhood the guy took the front grill from the Oldsmobile Bravada which is the same as the Jimmy/Blazer (all GM) and stuck it on his 97 and back S10 painted it all to match and its the most unique looking S10 I've see. Plus I think it has the SS package. Its like a aqua green the only ugly part about it, should of went with the sporty yellow or red. But you can do all kinds of changed on these trucks. The Isuze hombre is also an S-Series so their are multiple trims that are all interchangeable and can be switched out in these trucks. They are very versatile vehicles and easy to work on and parts are much cheaper than other vehicles and all over thevplace readily available.
These trucks are awesome. I have a 4x4 1996 Chevy S10 extended cab pickup. I'm working on fixing it up slowly-but-surely. These trucks are bound to be classics in the future. Sad that Chevrolet stopped making them.
Chevy brought the s10 back but in the US it's called the Colorado 2nd gen after the first gen failed with factory errors. It's called the s10 in Brazil and their models have a 2.5l turbo diesel engine which I think sucks when they could have rebuilt the 4.3 like the new LS engines.
Looks great, you did a real nice job. Really like the WW flairs. Who is source of them? Next up...wheels tires?, lowering?, ditch that rear bumper and go to roll pan?
looks bro, nice work, love the S10's to bad they don't them anymore, I have a 2003 with a 4.3 , I have lowered it, installed a stereo system done a lot of work to it and been taking it to car shows here lately, I love my little truck, Great video enjoyed it very much.
just swapped mine, mine was easier because I went from 97 s10 to 97 blazer, so when I went from 97 blazer to 98+ s10 I didn't have to alter the headlight wires.. win win situation, truck looks awesome now...
My question is. Did you have to cut or change the bumper brackets. I have a 99 thats been in a head on collision with a deer. The front grille and lights are destroyed, and the core support is bent. I have a 94 sonoma, and the nose is in good shape. The core support bolts in, but the bumper braces are different if I am correct. Can you see any complications with doing this process in reverse..going from a 99 front to a 94
Where did you get the kit you put on it looks awesome ? Do you have a link to the company or companies. My son is looking for something similar for his street / drag truck
I have an 01 S10 the sun faded the grill, I have to get out there and repaint it one of these days. The bottom plastic below the bumper got cracked in one spot by the license plate. I got a new one from rock auto, but it has to be painted to match my trucks color and mounted. I put it off to long. The S-Series is great, so much you can do relatively low cost and their good trucks, built more solild than the 3rd generation aka Colorado/Canyon. Overalll nicer body style but not as solid.
Question- I'm wanting to upgrade my recently purchased 1994 Chevy S10 front end as well. Replacing the lights, grill, turn signal lights and radiator core well understood but is replacing the bumper a mandatory part of the upgrade? Thanks just wanted to make sure before trying to locate all the required parts.
Replacing the bumper isn't required, but you will have a set of empty turn signals in the bumper if you don't swap it. The bulbs and wiring get re-routed to the turn signals right under the headlights.
@@AdrianKurtz Morning- Thank you very much i started this project yesterday evening. Also for those attempting this project with a 1994 Chevy S10 it isn't equipped with airbags so therefore you won't have a sensor to relocate. I have a question. Can anybody help answer this for me so I recently crashed my 98 blazer and messed up the front end and the passenger fender would I be able to use the parts from a 94 or older to replace my front end if I swap to the older style
I know this is old now but yes you have to do the exact opposite of this video. The right parts aren't expensive tho so unless you want the look of an older truck get the right year
It's not to fun man I have a 94' which was the first year of the round body series and they're not that bright and my brights aren't as effective as I'd like them to be so I'd get lds for it if you were gonna go in reverse with this
