I feel ya! I started building for myself at 68 years old. I am currently 70 and still at it. My current project is an addition sunroom to my tiny house. My tiny house is the 12 x 28. The addition is 12 x 8 😁 I love watching you build and you’re so right when you say it’s so satisfying to stop and look at what you’ve accomplished. It’s a learning experience for real. You go, girl, keep up the good work !
You are amazing inspiration ❤️ I'm 61 and have been watching her from purchase of Togo. She gave me more then she will ever know, my daughters get jealous when they see me watching her of course kidding. But to also come across comments of others older than myself just gives me more inspiration and thank u for that. Stay safe and warm.
You’re so frigginfantastic! That was a lot of work to complete and you did it so well. You were by yourself and did that. I’m sure your Mom must be so proud your her daughter. Everyday you overcome so many obstacles that you make me proud to be a woman. Give that sleepy Akela a hug.🫶🏼💜🫶🏼See you next time😬
This was such a joy to watch! 🌵🔥 Your determination and creativity shine through every moment, from the cozy van vibes to tackling the challenges of desert living. The blend of peace and hard work out there is something special. Keep building your dream, one step at a time! 💪🏾🏡✨
I love your videos, Linnea! And, I love how authentic you seem to be. You, more than anyone else, have inspired me to van life. I'm starting out slow & small by transforming my SUV for short road adventures, eventually working up to selling my house & moving into a van with a tiny-home homebase. It'll be awhile for me to get there, but I'm also learning patience & positivity & resilience from your vids, so thanks & please keep 'em coming!!!
The studio is coming along so nicely. Love seeing your vision coming to life. And Akela's little butt bites while you're trying to work out are hilarious.
I lived in a off grid dry cabin for almost 8 years, It was the Happiest time of my life, the most growth Spiritually, only I didn't have a jackery or Solar, or a phone, or electricity, or computer, off grid.
Ugh, I needed a video from you right now! I'm in the middle of a 15 hr drive in a cramped car with 3 other people. 😵💫 Also, I love your property and watching you build your studio!!
Excellent studio, it is going to be great . I hope in Spring you build another pole lodge as a community space with stone fire place . A place to be out of the rain, snow , wind, cold ... A space for folks to just hang out in..
Congrats on getting the studio walls up! It does me a world of good to see you so happy about your accomplishments. You've worked hard, you deserve it!
Yes indeed, it is beautiful. I love the way Akela crawls under the covers and also gives you hugs. Your chicken soup looks great. One more comment. The studio looks great. Terrific.
You will never be alone while you have Akela. Next building you build just nail plywood up and cut windows and opening in place, much easier. You did Good!! Good!!
The lack of people around doesn’t seem to slow you down any, never alone with Akela next to you, what a wonderful project you are progressing nicely, you are blessed to have such a beautiful setting to build on!
That little pause of peace at 14:24 was beautiful, I vibed with that moment so nicely, Appreciate you sharing your adventures, I'm excited to see this studio come together!
After the struggle of building a challenging project by myself, there is no better feeling than the completion of that task. I have built some difficult projects on my own that many would not even attempt, but the sense of pride that I feel after completion is the best feeling ever.
The studio is really coming along! Amazing work! I just love Akela. Beautiful soul, she is. I love how playful she is with you, and I am totally with her on wanting to stay under the covers in the morning!! Can’t wait for next week! 👍🏻💪🏻❤️
I've been following you since you started your van build. You inspired me so much. Im now building out my minivan and i absolutely love it. Thanks for keeping it real
Hi Linnea and Akela, Beautiful building. It has a lot of charm and character. I can’t wait to see it finished. Blessings for both of you. Happy holidays.
You are such an inspiration in staying motivated!!! Chicken soup looked amazing! Good start to your day! You get so much done everyday!!! And you have every right to be proud of what you are accomplishing there! Most men wouldn't have the guts to try and do what you are doing, so don't sell yourself short! I'm also glad you are secure in being alone-ish out on your property! Not everyone is secure enough in their self to do that, so good for you!!! Stay warm and safe and thanks for bringing us into your world to see what is possible and to share in your joy! Happy Thanksgiving!!
I love watching this. This is the first video that I’ve seen, I follow you on Instagram. I am in the process of planning to build my first house after purchasing land.
Wow girl another great video. You are all alone for sure now. But you are really doing So Well, you are doing such a great job on your Studio. She is really starting to come together ! I know she is going to be so cute when you’re done ! ! Well looking forward to next video and how far you have gotten . God Bless You and take care 🙏❤️👍👍. Stay warm 🔥🔥
Your videos are therapeutic ❤, I love the property and build part. It’s like seeing you live my dream. May be some day I get to be off grid in a beautiful place like yours
Hi Linnea! Thank you for sharing your view with us, it's beautiful. We really like that little woodstove, perfect in your van. The studio is really coming along. Hope you have a great week.
A woman with a vision is unstoppable and a pillar of strength and inspiration for us watching. ❤ it’s my dream to have my own land and homestead (I can, I will) ! Much respect and gratitude 🙏
You are so amazing Linnea! Akela cracks me up with the grumbling…I don’t blame her! 😂 Love that you kiss her in what I call the “sweet spot” between her eyes on the forehead. ❤ They are angels among us. Thank you for sharing with the world. I do look forward to Sundays! ❤ Stay warm!
Awe, man you can't imagine how happy & proud I am about your journey. Your property looks both stark & fantastical. Your videos are so hauntingly peaceful.
I love to watch the progress on the property from week to week. So many projects undertaken and finished. Your wide array of talents is something to behold. Inspirational. Not to mention your video creation talents amidst all the building. I don't know how you do it but I'm glad you do! Thank you for these weekly doses of positivity and creativity.
So fun and calming to have a glimpse into your life. Thank You! You have introduced me to several books I have loved and I am reading one you might like. It’s not new, but it is kinda blowing my mind. The Yugas by Joseph Selbie and David Steinmetz. I found it on Hoopla on Audio…🥰
Your enthusiasm is contagious. I love watching you build and how you chug ahead despite a possible storm coming. You make Sundays so much better. On a different note… Could you keep your garmin mini SoS thing on you since you are using a ladder and sharp tools. We want to keep you safe💕🧚🏼♂️💕
Lol I relish the winter for that exact reason. I can buy food for more than a day. Usually it's only a day and one day of leftovers but in the winter without a fridge it's like you say 3 days and the food keeps fine. We did that when I was a kid growing up in the 70s putting stuff outside in winter but it went down to minus 30 Celsius (Alberta Canada) now I'm in the UK, it's cool but definitely not -30 cold.
I certainly get a sense of "cosiness" from this video!! In my head I keep calling it a cabin!! And I keep picturing it as like a colonial/pioneer old school cabin up against the mountains like you see in those old Western movies!! I hope it all works out for you!! Cheers!!
I'm in Northern Minnesota converting an old pole barn into a heated space as this video came out. Its so true what you said we need to create something for ourselves.
You’re still just killing it! I know the feeling you describe while creating things. I try my hand often at carpentry and also refinishing furniture. I get lost in it and time flies by. The best feeling! Also, I think sleeping with a dog in the bed is 100% better than sleeping with a man. Just my opinion……
I've been doing city van life for 7 years now. I have been sleeping in parking lots and some camping places. I would love to live in the boonies where I could be free from city cares! You're young and healthy enough to make it!
Loved the video. I was wondering, what are you going to put on the outside of the studio? It would look so good if you took logs and cut them in half and nailed them to the outside board. Of course it's your studio and your choice. Love your videos, keep safe and God bless.
Love your videos, Linnea! I completely know that overwhelming giddy/happy feeling of working on a project. It’s so satisfying! This may already be in your awareness, but now that you have a covering over your studio, if there are openings in your windows or some spots on the walls, the wind can blow off your roof or your walls. It happened once to someone close to me and was such an expensive disappointment to them. At this point, you probably need to keep all openings covered with OSB during windstorms. Can’t wait to keep watching your progress!
I feel ya! I started building for myself at 68 years old. I am currently 70 and still at it. My current project is an addition sunroom to my tiny house. My tiny house is the 12 x 28. The addition is 12 x 8 😁

the pioneer women were tough and resilient... you seem to have their blood flowing in your veins ❤️
Thank you! :)
This was such a joy to watch! 🌵🔥 Your determination and creativity shine through every moment, from the cozy van vibes to tackling the challenges of desert living. The blend of peace and hard work out there is something special. Keep building your dream, one step at a time! 💪🏾🏡✨
Killer soundtrack and working playlist. When the batteries die, it must be break time. Cozy times are so special. ✌️❤️❄️
Yes, love the music ❤
Ditto! Your musical taste mirrors your incredible drive and work ethic, just outstanding.
I love your videos, Linnea! And, I love how authentic you seem to be. You, more than anyone else, have inspired me to van life. I just love what I see of who you are as a person. Thanks for being you and true to who and how you are.
The studio is coming along so nicely. Love seeing your vision coming to life. And Akela's little butt bites while you're trying to work out are hilarious.

Aw thank YOU for cheering me on. :)

A hot knife makes cutting through that styrofoam super easy and precise. Less mess and super satisfying to use.

My favourite things about this video is your happy noises and Akela's grunts and groans. Plus seeing your home base come together slowly is wonderful.

No house but a gym set up!! Kindered spirits. Your van build was awesome and this was some excellent content to decide on. Well done!

Fantastic job on your studio!! I am 99% sure I couldn't accomplish what you have. Great job!! Love that your eyes are protected😜
Yay Linnea ‼️‼️❣️❣️
You build it the way you want to, you have to live with it and besides that when I is completed with windows and doos you did that my dear ❤
