Even as a 5 year old boy when I first saw this in the mid 1990s, I never saw her at the beach. She is kind and her kindness rewarded her because her friends are willing to help her when she needed help. All the fairy Godmother did was give her a nice dress and a way to go to the ball, but the prince didn't fall in love with her because of her beauty; She was literally the one person who did not line up to see the Prince
I don’t hate Cinderella. I just first watch as late 20 something year old woman and I love it and her. I didn’t see her being weak or didn’t see wanting a prince to save her. The modern feminists are being silly. I support feminism cause without we’re be seen as property, but some of the stuff they believe in is ridiculous. Nothing wrong with having a man or woman) saving a woman/man.
I have to say that when I was a teen, I made fun of Cinderella for two reasons. Number one, I knew as the viewer that the movie would have a happy ending. Number two, I never really paid attention to the opening narration stating that she was abused, humiliated and forced into servitude. I'd later come to realize that as a character within the world this movie, which I've seen a multitude of times, Cinderella sees no way out of her predicament. The crazy thing is that Disney (and Pixar) movies are seen as movies for children, but they were also made to be enjoyed by adults as well. So when people mention watching Cinderella at like five or whatever, I say "now that you're fifteen, twenty-five, or seventy-five...look again!"
That's awesome! I know not all women hate Cinderella:) I just didn't want to add *Some* to the title lol it doesn't sound as good! Thanks for watching 💗
Radical Feminism would hate Cinderella. Plus either traditional femininity or gender roles that don’t unequivocally support women “toppling” the patriarchy. Are seen self hating women or incels that don’t want women being anywhere else other than the kitchen. I never hated Cinderella. Plus Cinderella was never my favorite Disney movie. However our modern day society has made me wonder. If I ever gave that movie the credit it deserves.
@@CrystalGoddess90 why? The original Disney Cinderella is as traditional as a fairy tale gets. The only feminist attribute that I could think of when it comes to this film. Is the fact that she pursues her happiness against the domineering. Lady Tremaine’s control over her.
Look, I don't hate this movie because Cinderella "needed a hero". I hate it because it feels very unfocused. It's a bad retelling of the fairy tale. Also, it's adapting Cinderella, which is one of the most boring fairy tales ever

Excuse me? I'm a radical feminist and I've defended Cinderella for YEARS.
