Kandawgyi Lake, also known as the Royal Lake, is located in the heart of Yangon. The lake is situated in the middle of Kandawgyi Nature Park, which is a popular recreational area for locals and tourists alike. One of the most iconic features of Kandawgyi Lake is the Karaweik Palace. It was designed to look like a traditional Burmese royal barge or "karaweik," which is a mythical bird in Burmese folklore.
The lakes natural beauty, cultural significance, and peaceful atmosphere make it an ideal place to relax and stroll around the lake, enjoying the panoramic views.
