In the late 1960's Worldwide Marriage Encounter was proclaiming the same message years before John Paul became Pope. The message is still even more relevant for today in living out Christian marriage in a meaningful way.
I'm going to get this book because I think it would be an amazing addition to marriage ministry. The one thing though, that I think we all have to remember, is that we're about four generations out from a time when most couples were actually attempting to live the four marks of marriage. We know that any of those parts being missing creates a deficit that has to be overcome before we can try to find a deeper understanding of our relationship because we have to let let Jesus heal the brokenness and the wounds without trying to do it ourselves or working through a program. Of course, I haven't read the book yet, so I'm hoping that it provides a solution to the misunderstanding of the most basic tenets of sacramental marriage. Trying to tell people how to become closer and develop a deeper sacramental bond is awesome and I think that if we can express the why of that through an understanding of marriage as St. John Paul II saw it, we will be able to share a new vision with so many who are seeking full lives in their vocation.
Lots of questions to be answered throughout this chat. To find a partnership like this is very rare. Most married couples it seems are stuck in toxic relationships. To find a partnership after divorce in your 50's is very rare. It really isn't all this glamorous sadly and this is the truth. Yes....everything this is saying is the truth & it works!🙏 After divorce mybe we should all become priest. Why aren't we all married to GOD like a priest. I do what God wants me to do the best way I know how. I want love ,I want a beautiful marriage like this. But at this point... it's just a fantasy in my mind. We are all lonely even in many marriages
I’m sorry for your pain brother. Without the Lord we’re all lonely! I’m very happy in marriage but only Jesus resides in the center of my being. Lean in to Him. He loves you so much. Do you know that?
@@RealLifeCatholic I do know that, we are friends every day on my journey of getting through. You are a very lucky man to be happy in your marriage! I wanted that happens too. Who wouldn't. But you can only wear the others shoes to truly know what the journey on the other end is like. The only thing that's the same is that God will be on both ends. Is that enough? Imagine the grieving for these people that have broken marriages. Not everyone is like you. But we can still have a relationship with God. A strong relationship. In the story's of the bible its says God gave man a woman. In this present life, it's not true for every man. So you sit alone in your own imagination of wish and hoping or....just be humbled and satisfied. Suffering comes in moments, happiness comes in moments and it constantly relapses over & over again. We pray, we forgive, we love, we cry we move on. Again...we pray, we forgive, we love, we cry we move on. Live everyday because you only die once. 🙏
This is the answer to truly help married couples and the fulfillment of the beautiful Sacrament of Marriage. May all Catholic Churches implement this “conjugal intimacy” purported by St. John Paul II. This could be world-changing in these relativistic times. 🎚❤️💙🎚

I have known this for 40 years and never heard anyone talk about it. Bravo! Praise be to God! Amen
We went to a retreat with Peter and Teresa a few weeks ago. The book is amazing, and we are looking forward to starting couple groups in our parish.
Having married couple friends is essential..

What a beautiful witness from married people. Viva Cristo Rey !
Sounds very similar to Marriage Encounter. So good to be in sharing groups with other couples
Great conversation but how do you handle when the couple is not on the same page..
After the spirit of Vatican II, there is no answer to this because the right over the body became the right over the person. No objectivity, no law.
Thank you Chris , for your very inspirational videos . God Bless you and your family . 🙏🎚️❤️
Thank you Chris you always do your best

How cool is this?? Especially ..if you had the opportunity to experience JP II's Midnight Mass in Rome...#extraspecial
Amen ❤🙏

How do you make this work when after 29 years one spouse has a stroke causing cognitive deficits and the other spouse becomes the all time caregiver?
What about couples not in childbearing situations?
What if one’s spouse is not Catholic?
Don't compromise the marriage contract.
I need help navigating my life after 27 years of marriage ends in divorce, not of my doing.
I’m so sorry. I need to have a show on that too. Jesus never leaves you.
Since marriage is till death, you get to be a white martyr for the cause.
@@RealLifeCatholicdivorce is never a sin where the definition of marriage is subjective. "Good of the spouses" is subjective..
Your conjugal spirituality is defaulting on my marital debt.
