Thanks for the educational video. I'm a newgrad RN in the MICU, and took over the care of a patient with an EVD for the first time yesterday. Q1 neuro checks + Q1 drainage and ICP documentation. I didn't get the chance to see the drainage and monitoring system get set up, though. So this was helpful.
@@zamoradesouza3121 Please consider turning the stopcock to an off position to prevent drainage that is based on position not ICP. Make sure to open after transferring the patient (if that is what your orders are).
No inflated comment from me but your EDV and CVP equipment is an attractive quality piece of equipment for Neuro ICU patients, a mere look at it and its functionality explains how beautiful that hospital equipment is.
As I was thumbing through these videos and thinking back on the nearly three months of laying there hooked up to one of these it dawned on me how painstaking these patience (like myself) must be for the nurses who are task with seeing after and monitoring them. Thank you for what you do and expressing an interest in furthering your knowledge!
The zeroing level after Turing, after physio, every shift are determined by doctor order, example 5 cm H2O IS the order me position patient and use a carpenter tool to zeroing from tragus to 5 cm H2O LEVEL.The bubble on the tool scale should be at middle.so that adjust position of patient or height of bed
@@Volksmash how to position patient, height of bed etc After physio or turning patient. For this we use a carpenter tool scalein that the bubble should be in middle..Hope you might be familiar after these comment before 2vyear😊

Very helpful video to visualize process. When we are transporting patients from bed to stretcher, do we have to clamp the stopcocks?

Thank you. That was very helpful. I’m a new grad rn in the neuro trauma icu and got to see one used last week. Hoping to find more videos like this.

Great video. I work on a step down unit and I want to transfer to an icu in about a year so I’m doing some education on my own. Thanks 😊
We dont have this device in our school. Though its really education material. Wish to have them.😅😅

Hi, im confused when to use mmHG or cm H2o pls explain, thank you so much?
The units of measurement will be determined by your ordering physician. Your unit will usually have a standard
The order determines what to use.
