"How much do you make per hour" is a typical question in Canada, especially among low income people. A lot of my friends also asked me how much TIPs I earned as a Busboy and I was fine telling them my average per day. I didn't find those salary-based questions rude or intrusive at all.
Pero sa ibang lahi it’s totally offensive to ask.
@@bettyful77 My white friends in Canada never hesitated to ask how much a person earns per hour. In the 1980s you ask someone that works at Safeway whether they're white, Indian or Asian and the person will proudly say "I earn 24 bucks an hour!". I asked my white friends how much they earn working for the Vancouver Parks Board and they'll say $10 an hour. It's not rude at all to ask as we're all low income people trying to search for the best places to work. For professionals it depends as some people in the same industry often ask how much Microsoft pays vs what Amazon or FaceBook pays its employees. They do this because Tech people like to jump companies for better pay, stock options and bonuses. For most cases high earning Canadians like to keep their earnings secret.

Malamang kaysa hindi, walang idudulot na mabuti kapag pinag uusapan o pinag-kukumpara ang sweldo among co workers of the same job description.
Salary is usually confidential cause it can cause conflict at nakaka demoralize lalo na same field/position tapos malaki gap ng sweldo. Di kase lahat broad minded. Pero kanya2 naman if ok siya ireveal.
Sharing on your shows maybe ok, but sa work place maybe not. It will just create misunderstanding and confusion between co-workers. It happened at my workplace recently.

FYI, many Pinoy RUclipsrs show their Salary and Pay Stub with the headline "This is how much I earn in Canada". They even go over EI, CPP, union or other items that's deducted from their bi-weekly paycheques. Not only that they convert the figures into pesos 😃. It's videos like this that makes some viewers think it's okay to ask how much so and so earns.

@@Betty-ww5cb I've never looked up my credit score and quite frankly I've never really needed to know. That's because I pay mostly in cash. I'm sure there are many people earning less than $20K a year with perfect credit scores but that doesn't mean anything to me as the amount they can borrow will be very minimal.
@@Betty-ww5cb I wasn't born with a silver spoon. I started from the bottom like everyone else. You also missed my point. A high credit score is a false sense of wealth to many people.

Its ok to reveal the salary as long yung dati mo na yun.
