These times were so wholesome. I wish time machines were real
I'm not sure wholesome is the right word, ill definitely agree they were better, more innocent from my child perspective. There was still a lot of unwholesome elements even on tv and in the movies.
@@nathanielsibley5710 Sorry, but I need to agree with the previous comment.......these are wholesome 💯♥️🥰👍
@@phillygrl69if your talking about these particular commercials then we are 'mostly' in agreement. I was referring to the 80s in general. That said, it was some of the best times of my life.
Me, too !
If only Burger King burgers were $.39 today
I have a lot of great memories getting personal pan pizzas when I was a kid, and we would go to Pizza Hut to celebrate the weekend sometimes. I miss the sit down Pizza Hut we had, also.
Seeing that personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut in the thumbnail makes me miss the times of getting one as a kid. It's good to know that you can get one at a Target food stand today 😊🍕
2:12 - You have to love local commercials that dare to throw in random low budget effects like this.
I loved those personal pan pizzas at pizza hut back in the day.
You and everyone else... Target with pizza hutsbin um still sell them
Me 2 and they were soooo good😋🍕
These are from February 5, 1984. Yellow Submarine aired at 1 PM, The Red Pony at 3 PM, Yours, Mine and Ours at 5 PM.
Thank you, I'll update the description.
Great way to start the holiday weekend! Thank you very much.
Jesus, how I really miss going to Pizza Hut and actually going inside, sitting down at a booth and having dinner there. A different - and better - time.
duncan hines deluxe, it's
✨ m o i s t ✨ and light
Top Ramen and Cup O Noodles- I like the "Green Screen" effects in this commercial.
Man...now I want to read some books so I can get a sticker on my Book It button for a free personal pan pizza.
One of my now grown son's happiest memories...Book It! at Pizza Hut.☺🍕
Mama approved, because It got him reading and who doesn't like 🍕 and 🍝🤷♀️😎😁.
Wish I was a teenager in the 80s
First time I can recall playing a face to Pete Gross' name (used to hearing his high-pitched "Touchdown Seahawks" calls on old Seahawks highlights)
$38,000 down for a Rolls-Royce in 1984 would be $98,454.38 today. Still a bargain in comparison to 2021’s model, Ghost, which retails for $311,900.
That same model Rolls Royce can be bought for $20k today.
Yea but you dont get half of what you would get in today's model
JOY😮😁 I used that back in the 1980's. 👍👍
TOR books is still around. They publish lots of genre stuff. If you like 80s stuff Paperbacks from Hell is amazing... there's also one for 80s Junior Fiction (Judy Blue, Babysitter's Club, etc) Quirk Books is the publisher.
Oh wow. Hearing that old KCPQ jingle really takes me back
R.I.P. Chris Welp. His son is one heck of a player on the UC Irvine team.
Joy-was expecting an appearance by the Bellamy Brothers at the end
Tide-"Um,lady,what are you talking about..?"
Yours, Mine And Ours-a precursor to The Brady Bunch
Safeguard-with Bill Smitrovich
Top Ramen and Cup O Noodles-forgot the MSG representative
Oh wow, kcpq. I'm having flashbacks of my childhood
Dang! I want that life insurance for 5.00 a month !
KCPQ!
ding!
ding!
KCPQ was on constantly growing up in Vancouver! I think it became a Fox affiliate when that network started up? Great memories though.
9:40 Sheree J.Wilson, aka Alexandra Cahill on Walker Texas Ranger
RIP Sidney Poitier
That Joy ad sounded a lot like "Let your Love Flow" by the Bellamy Brothers...hmm....
That's because commercials used to use the tune from a pop song instead of doing an original.
