It does not ''feel like this'', it's precisely what it is. Her lyrics are a mix of her older diaries/writings, newspaper clipings, surrounding and her inner monologue.
Hypnotic percussion, strong funky bass, inventive exhilarating guitar, and Florence Shaw's charm and wit over the top. They are mesmerising. Saw them in Bristol in February and will see them again next year. These, Fontaines and Idles got me through lockdown and beyond.

i listen to their kexp home performance almost everyday- so good. the tuning of their guitars is peak in that performance def gave off more nirvana vibes than here.

I was and still am a big fan of Saint Etienne. Her vocal performance has an element of Sarah Cracknell, when she does spoken word portions of their performances. It is internal thoughts externalised, stream of consciousness, a hymn to the mundane everyday banalities of existence.
Flo’s outfit inspired the wish to see her perform in a hospital gown, sincerely, that’d be a strong look for this Flo, real strong I mean Kurt Cobain even did it remember cheers y’all

Seen them live a couple of times and loved it. How Florence manages to stay still despite the infectious music always amazes me
I think the perfect DC form is being realized in this set. It feels committed and somewhat trippy.
