- You have to be in shape to carry a sousaphone and keep in step with the majorettes, as Adam Devine and Kevin Hart learn first hand when they join a high school marching band.
The third season of What The Fit starring Kevin Hart follows Kevin and a new squad of famous friends as they continue to inspire the world to work out. They’ll take on the courts of the Harlem Globetrotters, organize a community workout for the entire city, and keep in step with a high school marching band. How much success they’ll have with any of these things is up for debate, but one thing they’ve proved time and time again, is that nothing is too bold, too outrageous or too ridiculous for Kevin and his guests if it can get the world on its feet.

Me too man. We had a sousaphone from the 80's in our band that had caught on fire and we literally couldn't afford to replace it because we were that poor. We also had to fabricate a lot of our props when we had any

@@ballsdeep6912 very rarely. One year we wanted to do a percussion feature and one of the drum majors dad's fabricated us a rack so we could do it. Last time I remember using props was last year, we used sun umbrellas and chairs, and the drum majors dad fabbed frames that we put canvas over

It's never a piece of cake. Not with my band director who kept increasing the level of difficulty every year. I think I just got used to the physical and mental exhaustion xd. I loved it, though.

As a former student to this school and a trumpet player for this band instruments have always been hard to come buy especially in compton unifed school district. Dont even get me started on how much a repair would cost or how long it can take to get repairs done

A brand new gold sousaphone is around 7 or $5,000. I know, I've played them for years.
As a former marching band member, this had my sides hurting from laughter.
As a band kid I appreciate Kevin and Adam admitting that it’s hard work, and fun fact that’s not even a fraction of what we do! Also yes sousaphones are that expensive if they’re brand new and quality, so the band director has a legit reason to freak out about it getting damaged

Thank you so much for seeing Marching Band as a form of exercise. A lot of hard work goes into it. We practice very long hours in the sun and rain, hot and cold. We give up our summers to do this sport. From July to November we practice. We run laps, we do other cardio and stretches to warm up our bodies to get ready for practice and competitions. Students are fainting or getting injuries because they are working so hard and giving it all they got. We are playing instruments for 8 minutes straight in weird positions not normal for the body while having to move and perform our hearts out for the audience and judges. We hold our instruments at weird angles the really hurt after a long day. We do this all to show of the talent, training and love we have in this sport. Thank you for recognizing just a little bit of what goes into making a great marching band.
