Fantastic car
My brother had one in the late 70's
I think his one might have been modified as it would rev to 8k in any gear which was around 130 mph in 5th. Car magazine road tests put the top speed at 105mph in 4th (or 5th) presumably couldn't pull more revs in 5th
One night we drove from Opunake to Heretaunga (in New Zealand) a distance of 197miles (371km) in just over 3 hours
It unfortunately ended up crashed in a sandwich between a Wolseley 100/6 and an Leyland P76 - one of which didn't manage to stop as well as the Alfa
