This is a great video. Thank you
Awesome/honest take thank you coach Luka
For me, the monster bells highlight the potential of kettlebell training to those who are new to it, especially when someone who is very well-conditioned can demonstrate advanced moves (Oliver Quinn or Levi Markwardt spring to mind straightaway). So for a specially outfitted facility, that likes to do collaborations to keep its audience motivated and engaged, and you are located in a place where you're not killed by shipping costs, then they can be a decent investment at some stage. For everyone else, likely they just won't be used enough to justify the expense. Great video, keep up the great work!
I'm pretty happy with two 20's. If I exhaust my possibilities with them, I'd rather buy two 24's than any single of equal weight.
An absolutely logical & honest take on this topic/issue!
Kudos!
Thank you! Always the best explanations!
I have 2 50s and an 80 (lbs) on the way. Should keep me occupied for a few years.
With Kettlebells, I like to elevate my feat, so that the grip is as low as or lower than a Barbell.
My goal is to be able to One-hand Swing over 48kg. I'd love to be able to Get-up over 48kg too.
I have always used kb as my supplement to the power lifts for more mobility and muscle work without the full systemic stress like barbells cause. Big kb just came as a result naturally and now high reps with a pair of 60lbs is my “cardio” and go to when I’m at home.
New York Barbell Corporation sold monster kettlebells 2007.
They sold 100,125,150,175,200 pound. They no longer make them. I have 2 of each. They are nice for farmers walks and high rep deadlifts.
I can goblet squat the 200. Swing the 200. I am over 40. I can also clean and jerk 315lbs so i am not your everyday person. For those wondering, a 315 lb clean and jerk seems like a lot but i am in the 89 kilo weight class and the world masters record is 360lbs. So i am not even close.
Yes!
I think they are good for teaching a deadlift if there is one at the gym. Otherwise my largest at home is 48
I really think anything beyond the 32kg is just a waste of money that would be better directed at a barbell set up.
I mean if you can do the big six with 32s it’s time to move to a different form of training imo.
Nah, pressing the beast is a great aim. Or pressing double 40s. 32kg is intermediate at best especially in getups
@@Bowhuntingskills If you want to press large weight its just more effectively done with a barbell. I am in the camp with Dan John that heavy get ups aren't right for most people and the risk FAR out weighs the reward.
@drunknnirish in some ways I don't disagree but then I consider 40kg a fairly easy load for getups. There is much to be said for kettlebell presses over barbells due to the differences in the way the weight moves. I find my shoulders feel better with kettlebell overheard movements.
