Daniela is not only a pure rock star, she has the ability to powerfully sing hard rock songs but also knows how to connect with the audience. She has varied this song many times, from her original classic rock version to mixed versions with an a cappella entrance at the Metropolitan Theater, to this completely acoustic version. In order not to be monotonous, they vary one song or another, bringing out gems like this one, simply masterful compositions.
Written by a very homesick 15 year old Dany while TW was attending Berklee College of Music Summer Program for Kids in 2015. It was a homework assignment and she had nothing until the evening before. There is a video of Dany expressing her homesickness. The guitar is a Fender Acoustasonic which can be acoustic or electric. She got it during the pandemic.
Call of Ktulu without bass sounds kinda odd, but I was loving it. That's a Fender Acoustasonic guitar. A slim acoustic with actual pickups. She plays it without any amp in her midnight performances. I'm just putting the technical stuff there to keep me from just admitting I'm crying. ❤️⚡😭
Great reaction. Hell, I was touched watching through the video, I can't imagine the feeling of being there in person to share in the moment. Keep Rockin' my friend. TWA 🤘⚡🤘
15 yo Dany wrote "When I'm Alone" when the girls attended a 6-week summer session at Berklee School of Music in 2015. In the last week she had a homework assignment to write a song by herself and after fighting writer's block she wrote this masterpiece the night before it was due. It's partly about her homesickness, but also about her struggle to fit in and be understood in her classes since she was a very young latina mixed in with older English-only speakers. And she wrote this in her 2nd language and did a masterful job of describing her situation in a way that deeply resonates with anyone who's been in a similar situation. ⚡Viva Daniela⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
Man, I gotta tell ya, it’s been a blast watching you fall in love with TW just like we all have! One of life’s little pleasures is watching people discover & then fall in love with TW! 😁⚡️🤘
This is their 10th Anniversary Concert at the Pepsi Center Mexico City. Dany wrote this song as a writing assignment at The Berklee School of Music in Boston. She was homesick, being away from home for 7 weeks.
This song is from their first album, *XXI Century Blood*, released in 2017. Dany wrote it in 2015 when she was just 15 years old. It’s usually played with the full band, and there are several versions of them performing it live over the years. The most recent, besides this one, was at Teatro Metropolitan in 2022. Another great version is from their 2017 TEDx talk when they were 16, 14, and 12 years old. They also performed the song at a storytelling concert in 2018 at Agua Fría, San Pedro Garza García, Mexico, where Dany shared this about the song (translated from Spanish): "With your permission, I'm going to sit down to tell you a little more about this next song. Well, this next song is very, very, very special for me because, to be honest, I struggled a bit more when I first started as a composer. I remember being in Boston-we were studying at Berklee College of Music-and we had a composition class. It was a group class where each of us had to bring a composition. We would analyze it and see what could be improved. We had the task of writing a song. I remember that one day before class, I still had absolutely nothing. I was thinking, 'What am I going to do?' It wasn't because I was lazy or had forgotten the assignment-I just hadn't found inspiration for a song. In that moment of despair, I missed my home and my friends a lot because we had been away for a long time. I also felt like nobody understood that I didn't work the same way as others when it came to composing. That's when this song, *When I'm Alone*, was born."
There were 8,000 people at tgat show. When she performed this song, the show and day or so before this one, she broke down in tears. Your balloon (lamp) comparison was perfect.
A lonely 15 year old young girl, wrote this masterpiece (Dany) and Who was lonely and missing some family and friends, while away at Berkeley College of music. Wow these 3 young ladies are geniuses. There's No question in my mind...
Even in their smaller shows, way before they could fill up place like this, like the club I saw them in Cleveland this summer, they have a natural ability to connect with their audience the minute they walk out. We feel like we're not watching a show as much as we're all in it together. There are very few bands have ever had this, I think back to the 1970s and the Grateful Dead that had totally devoted followers. The Warning is like that just with better music. 😅😅😅❤
There are those who think they have to control everything. Another reactor just addressed the same issue. It's your channel, do what you want. How proud her parents and family must be of her.
Dany composed this song when she was about 13 years old. She and her sisters each received a scholarship from Ellen Degeneres to attend the summer program (5 weeks) at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, to deepen their knowledge of music theory. Dany went through a moment of anguish and despair on that occasion and wrote this song.
UMG is the music publisher that owns the broadcast rights for several record labels. There are 3rd party companies that screen every video in RUclips for copyrighted material on behalf of UMG. I thought that The Warning live performance videos are usually safe from copyright claims as long as you pause a couple of times, but I could be wrong. The guitar is a Fender Acoustasonic (hybrid electric/acoustic). 😎👍
They're signed with Lava Records, which is affiliated with Universal Music Group, so the blocks are probably even out of Lava's hands, unfortunately. Just keep doing what you're doing. You're getting things dialed-in just fine. Also, I believe Dany's Guitar is a Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster
I’m not familiar with the song you were playing at the beginning, but it sounded great! And yeah, Dany’s lyrics are very relatable. I’ve been there too
10:58 It bugs me that the part where Dany says "after hearing this song feel accompanied" feel accompanied gets omitted in the translation. I think that it was important. The melody is very sweet with the guitar notes penetrating and haunting and the lyrics been so strong and real. Very impresive since she was only 15 and going through that when she wrote it.
Maybe try contacting Bel Development. He's a reactor and he seems to not get blocked very much. He's also a very helpful dude so maybe he could give you some tips. (He reacts to The Warning as well as other music.)
Great idea, he has a community for Reactors addressing issues. Here is what YT says: Copyright applies to the content itself, not how you watch it: Whether you watch a video continuously or in paused segments, if the content itself is copyrighted and you don't have permission to use it, you are still infringing on copyright. Bottom line here which I posted previously (obviously was not read) is pausing DOES NOT MATTER.
My absolute favorite The Warning song!!!! This hit me so hard the first time i heard it!!!!

These girls help to keep me from living in that dark place.
💯🤘👍👍👍
Yep. It was an epic concert. 23 song setlist! And 8,000 fans to see them!!
Her guitar is a Fender Acoustasonic.

How many people have any products from when they were 15 that still crush.

My absolute favourite song of all time. One of, if not the most relatable songs ever written. Goosebumps every single time I hear it.
It's a Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster ..Dany wrote this at 15 yrs old.. 🌎✌️
Just when I thought I couldn't love them any more.....

You hit the nail square upon the head, “ Why are they watching a reactor”. Thank you for checking out The Warning.

The Call of Ktulu by Metallica. Thanks for the compliment! 🎉
Acoustic Fender guitar.
This song and the black holes song are like imagine and let it be.
Although I personally prefer Escape The Mind
It is a Fender guitar.
Pink Floyd Hey xou out there in the cold

Of course you can interrupt every few bars. But then I can't take it seriously. You didn't disappoint me.

Actually the original studio version is NOT a ballad, so this was a great transformation
