The IXF for the price is good. I bought it after seeing it on your channel. The issue of the iXF is bottom braket design. The plastic covers aren't actually sealed and don't keep water and dirt debris out. And the bearing themselves are not rubber sealed. This will sieze up, especially in wet muddy conditions.
I rode my bike in the winter and in spring (in Canada) when it was muddy and wet, which is how my bottom braket seized.
I actually just took out the siezed bearings and replaced them with better bearings, which were properly rubber sealed and packed the cups with grease before putting on the plastic cover. So far, no issues.
After I serviced the bottom braket, it was fine. However but it definitely needs better bearings, which is cheap to replace. Or just buy a new bottom braket that has a better plastic cover.
The bearing size is 6805 2RS. I bought a 10 pack on Amazon.

Big news in store for my GT Aggressor Pro.... I just ordered.... an upgrade for it....
    ... wait for it
    .... wait for it....
I ordered a 100cc gas motor that I'm going to attempt to run on the GT. If I can get it set up, I'm gonna order a bike specifically for the motor... but gonna test it out on the GT. Only con is I'm gonna have to lose the rear brakes... needs too many mods to work with rear disc brakes... hence why if I get it up and running, I'm gonna order a bike with front disc , rear whatever they're called... Thinking of the Kent Genesis Silverton or Kent Thruster (dont have front disc though but cheaper)

BB52 shimano BB is pretty cheap, same bearings as the shimano saint, same bearings as the shimano zee. UCI dowhill proof bottom brackets. But cheap. Still a part of the budget built parts. 💪

I recently purchased an IXF crankset for my Axum. I first installed it with only one spacer on the drive side. My first run without any crashes i was hearing a rubbing noise only on every other revolution. Couldn't figure out what it was until closer to the end of riding. the drive side crank arm was hitting the chainstay. So, I installed an additional spacer. It improved but did not solve the issue. only rubs when alot of torque is applied. I'm led to believe that the drive side crank is possibly bent from the factory. IDK. I have a replacement on the way to see if that is the issue or not. If the second does the same thing then I will probably go a different route. Any suggestions for another budget friendly crankset?

My plastic spacers are all crushed (shimano deore is also using plastic spacers too), and bearings are seized up (particularly the drive side). I would not mind used stuff, if it's treated well there is nothing wrong with that, But as you said the market varies. I only bought from users with good reputation, and proper pictures.
I got some sweet parts for cheap, or cheaper, but not many. I am in Norway. But forks is easy to get here usually, so knock off forks is silly to buy here, as you can get a Rock Shox fork in decent shape for the same price or less. But even pricier forks like Fox 32,34, 36 Factory could be found and quite low prices, but not that low of course, but at significant reduction, and sometimes even crazy low prices, and when it comes to stems and bars, there are some nice budget options there from reputable brands, so pointless, but that can be found in retailers world wide, and then there are sales so you can get stuff cheap. so watch out for those, I bought a lot of Mavic jerseys for 70% off. Some Endura trousers for about half price, gloves, some Leatt gloves, and the list goes on.
So my point is watch out for what is on sale and what you can get secondhand, and save searches for parts you want, so you get notified, grab it before it's gone.
The market was a bit dry in the covid craziness, but it improved eventually.

11:57 & 12:02 I can't see any cracks. What exactly do you think is cracked? the balls? the separator?(the thing between the balls that keep them in place) The parts between the balls are not cracked balls they are the separator, it's meant to be like that.
Is the inner or outer race or both cracked? Am I just not seen it cus 1080p video and RUclips compression?
Keep in mind that bearings that are just regular bearings should not be used for bottom brackets, as they can't be preloaded.
You need angular contact bearings, so as they wear you can preload them until they wear out after years of use.
But regular bearings you have to change in months or every year or so.
But tolerances also make a big difference. So cheap junk will wear fast.
But the spacers failed, the bottom bracket cups were loose, so the bearings were not preloaded, so if ridden like that, this will abuse the bottom bracket, possibly damage the threads, the bearings.

I’ve had no problems with ixf. I did swap out the bb recently on my gravel bike to a shimano mt800 just so I’m not using that super cheap bb. that’s weird that you would have issues with the crank turning , I’ve used some pretty nasty bbs with these cheap cranksets and can’t imagine them failing so bad that they lock up.

yea i had the same feeling when my square tapered bb bearings were destryed. I slamed my rear brake and I heard a crunch sound. though I some ho boke my free hub. As it turned out, the bb I had ( Stock so about 5years) gave up!

14:58 Exploded bearings? I did not see any exploded bearings in this video.
But I have seen that in real life on a bike I had, crushed bearings, metal shavings. grinding paste. actually collapsed bearings. It was in 2015 on a 2014 Fuel EX, FSA headset failed in few days.

I had an IXF bottom bracket that was too small for the crankset that shipped with it. When i inserted the crank shaft into the bottom bracket it got stopped in its tracks. The plastic liner that goes over the bearings sheered off. Without it, it was flopping around. Ended up getting Ali to comp me.

That happened to me too! The plastic seal that goes around the bearings is so cheap and flimsy when it got stuck and I tried removing it the just shattered into pieces. The bottom bracket sucks!

Some BB are not designed for impact loads like jumps and drops. SRAM Truvativ Powerspline BB even has a sticker on it with that statement. This IXF BB probably wasn't built for the jumps you were doing, only XC type of riding.

You can buy BBs, in colours, over here in China for $3.12usd now (Lunje brand). There's no way my wheels are leaving the ground with them fitted!!
I've upgraded to Deore M6120/BB52 boost crankset and BB. $71usd here. I was blowing the bearings in too many cheap BBs. Many times Id go out, ride down zone stairs and the BB would blow on the spot, even cheap chainring bend!
FSA Comet boost cranks came on my bike. I crashed on rocks and weakened the pedal threads on the drive side so bought the Deore set before I lose a pedal on a ride and have to walk down from 3000m up. Pressing down, a weight on my mind recently, is the "false economies" that need to be considered.

Thoses cranks will have a bad chainline with boost rear hub. 10-11-12 speed. And adding 2 botttom bracket shims there is not much crank spline engaged on the other side

I bought a Shimano Saint BB (thinking it would be better than the ixf BB, it's pretty much the same) which is like top of the top of the line and it included plastic spacers. I don't use spacers on my GT Aggressor Pro though so it's no big deal for me.
