  • In this episode, discuss Pope Francis’ recent unscripted comments urging the Catholic Church’s top theologians to “demasculinize” the Church. Also, in the Quick Hitters segment, we discuss famous gay RUclipsr Shane Dawson and his “husband” becoming the latest prominent gay couple to mailorder a baby via surrogacy, the overturning of Roe v. Wade already saving tens of thousands of babies from murder, a Florida school district seeing tremendous benefits for students and teachers after banning cellphones, whiny female college athletes suing their university for not treating them like they’re special, a review of federal election donation records revealing that Christianity Today employees only contribute to Democratic political candidates, and Pastor David Platt replacing himself at his church with a black pastor that says it is difficult for him “not to just torch all white people… In particular, white evangelicals and Christians.” Let’s get into it…

    I found you on Mike's podcast. I'm a mom of 8, 1 in glory. Homeschooling 7. Married 19 years tomorrow.
    I got my husband & our 17 year old son into your podcast.
    I watched the episode with Doug Wilson & it really resonated with me. I have felt abandoned by church and pastors for over 15 years. As they man bashed, and idolized women. "Teaching" women a narcissistic, selfish, me-centered theology.
    My husband regularly would get scolded by leadership because I refused to attend the women's groups at church (3 different churches).
    Even though I bluntly explain, "I have 7 children that I homeschool & a lot going on. I don't have any desire to leave my house to go hang out with women complaining about their kids and their husband!" I was told that wasn't what their Bible studies were about & I'd show up to find out it was even worst.
    Every single Bible study turned into some woman pontificating about herself. I'd sit there thinking "what does this have to do with what we just read?" I'd discuss this with pastor wives only to upset them & have them target me or worst target my husband & children.
    I decided my husband was my pastor. Eventually he decided to home church for a while. We're not against attending church again. But there's been so much horrible things that happened in unbiblical churches that were kinda burnt out after 17 years of going from worst to worst church. Especially during covid, they really showed their cowardness. My husband would visit the sick, bring them soap, bread, Gatorade, etc... He constantly Especially encouraged the pastors just to open up.. Eventually, he started open up our home for fellowship because so many of the fellowship was alone, scared, upset, sad.
    I just couldn't respect, follow or attend the church of such cowards, weak men.

      I'm sorry to hear that and I am thankful to hear your love for the Lord. Please don't allow hurt to separate you from the beauty of church. No one suffered more from the church than Jesus, but he still loves his bride. I know that there are many wolves in the church, but Christ's bride will prevail. God Bless you and I'm praying for you!

    I found you from your Mike Glover interview. One thing that resonated with me was when you talked about going into church and not seeing men like you/me. I have never hung out with anyone from church. I always felt, “who the hell are these people?” It’s a breath of fresh air finding people like you and many others (Dom Raso for example). ❤️⚔️

    Keep in mind that one can be Jewish and not practice Judaism, and one can practice Judaism and not be Jewish. Jewish is an ethnicity, not strictly a religion.
    Judaism = religion
    Jewish = Hebrew

    I am a Catholic because I love Jesus and the church he formed. There are issues with every religious group because people are involved and people are not perfect. I live in Central MN there are allot of Catholics here and I don't know one of them that is a Liberal. Why must us Christians continue to criticize one another, we are far more alike than we are different. If you really want to understand what the church teaches study the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

    I am Catholic, the pope says crazy stuff. Francis is not a good pope. But when the pope says the Church is Woman, he isn’t wrong, as scripture says it is the Bridegroom of Christ. Ephesians 5:22. Not defending him but clarifying the the Church as Feminine. You will also hear Catholics refer to the Church as Holy Mother Church. This ties into the relation as Mary was the first Tabernacle, that carried God made man in her womb.
    But we shouldn’t be focused on increasing the number of female theologians so much as increasing the number of competent ones.

      The thing about Catholics is that a vast majority do not study the Bible. Many just have verses to support their faith without having the scripture in its entirety. Study the word as a novice, knowing absolutely nothing and let the word of God teach you.

    • @oldironlindyable
      @oldironlindyable 8 месяцев назад +1

      @MrOne-wt3pd that is not unique to Catholics. Most "Christians" do not study scripture.

    • @MrOne-wt3pd
      @MrOne-wt3pd 8 месяцев назад

      @@oldironlindyable true, most Christins do not study scripture. Instead, they have their denominational beliefs which influence their interpretation. But, out of my interactions Catholics are the least group that would use the Bible to quote, use, or defend their faith.

    Hey brother, I admire your mission and your aim with this podcast/channel because it is seriously important that the church can be a place for masculine men and I'm grateful for that, however please consider checking your language. I only recently discovered the podcast and there is 'worldly' language used in here and also calling someone names like this isn't God honouring. If you claim you want to equip men to push back darkness you have to be the one to set the example, not use compromising language like this. The pope may be effeminate but that doesn't mean you should dunk on him by flipping over to the toxic end of the spectrum. Anything you communicate like this you endorse others doing too. It's not masculine or powerful (and you risk losing viewers with it). Jesus was the lion and the lamb. He was completely capable of both. I say this because you have a good thing going here and it can become truly great. If you've never read 'The Prodigal God' by Timothy Keller I highly recommend it and may be very useful to help you understand more of what I'm getting at, much better than I could explain. It's a really short book (only 2 hours on audible) which I noticed isn't on your reading list. If It's not essential Christian reading (beyond the bible), then I don't know what is. Anyway, peace to you and all the best with the channel!

    I have to ask this, why as Christian‘s is it OK to use foul language and smoke cigars and if you’re doing any of this you’re probably OK with drinking alcohol, why is that?

    • @spoonman4024
      @spoonman4024 8 месяцев назад

      What about cigars and drinking isn't Christian? Christ made alcohol at a wedding....... and nowhere in scripture is smoking mentioned. I'm not advocating for foul language but our fixation on it in the modern church feels like we're compensating for not talking about the real issues. I don't think God is more upset by Kyle's language than the silence of Christians on the sin of our day or the absence of men leading in the church. Splinters & logs.

      Sin is sin and truth is truth according to the Bible. I would agree as to where Christians have been one step behind the world being deceived, that this is Christianity. I am all about combating this effeminate queer, pansy, Christian Society we find ourselves in. But I also believe according to the Scriptures that we don’t need to act like and sound like this filthy fallen world to do it. And by the way, just because that specific sin is not listed in the Bible doesn’t mean it’s not a sin. There are plenty of sins not listed in the Bible by name but if you’ve read the Bible enough and prayed for discernment, you’d have a different opinion. People that call themselves Christians need to stop walking around in diapers and grow up.

      I'd like to add that language was created by God, but changed by humans. Things we say have been considered innocent at one time and is a bad word now. So we have decided based on context and timing what is offensive or not. Without taking the time to find scriptures specific to the point, God (and indeed, Jesus himself) was far more concerned with the content of our speech than the particular words we use to say things. He spoke against using, not cussing.

    This is my first time listening to this podcast. I gave it a try because I heard it was so highly recommended. I have to ask--- What's with the language? I thought this was a Christian show. Is it necessary? Is god honoring? I think not. Very much turned off by it. How can I recommend it with this kind of language?

    • @spoonman4024
      @spoonman4024 8 месяцев назад

      After growing up in the church my entire life, I'm sad to see people get more upset about occasional profanity than the real issues facing the body. If we can't handle that and fixate/nitpick about it, then we are not equipped for bigger issues. Calling out small things is easy. Here's someone calling out real issues, and the focal point is language? Good grief.

  • @joshuawhitmire1026

    Kyle i wish i lived near you so I could talk to you in person about your LANGUAGE! Please STOP and think before you speak. We are to be in the world but not of it.

    • @spoonman4024
      @spoonman4024 8 месяцев назад

      I'm confused by this and have grown up in the church my whole life. I don't think casual profanity honors God, but is that really where people are gonna hang their hat? We have churches filled with men who can't discipline themselves with their weight, their marriage, their drinking, or almost any other area of behavior, but somehow we fixate on the occasional profanity? For those obsessed with this incredibly small issue, take the log out of your eye before removing the splinter from your brother's.

    I was raised Roman Catholic and turned away from it. I still know many wonderful people who are Catholic but I have noticed that more of them, especially men, do not like the current pope.
    For myself, I remain quietly polite and keep the ‘social contract’ when around anything Catholic but in truth I despise popery and believe that forced celibacy was a disastrous decision that has created more scandals than we could ever list.
