And Tim, something to keep in mind, the majority of their songs were written when they were still in their teens (2016-2019) and had not yet had any formal music training. These early songs were all around 5-6 minutes long and very much in "jam" style, just banging it out and fitting parts together in their homemade practice studio! There wasn't anyone telling them how the songs "should" be, just them playing what they liked!

for a band with 3 members, the bassist or drums must be the one that looks striking for a very good band, because especially for Marsya, he is considered 3 people because she sings, rhythm and melody too,and Widi is considered 2 people because he plays rhythm and melody too, and for Siti he is the beat holder, if there is no drummer, especially for this band where the tempo and beat are uncertain, It will definitely sound strange because in every VOB song Marsya and Widi's playing style is like it's like they're playing 2 different songs❤️😂❤️

Thanks Tim for more VOB (and belated Happy Birthday)! This was a virtual event that was a part of Indonesia's National Culture Week in 2021 (COVID...). VOB closed the show with three songs, all very pointedly chosen for this event: God Allow Me (speaking out against being told they shouldn't be playing this kind of music), School Revolution (their critique of their school system, with the Minister of Education prominently in attendance), and this song (which they hadn't played live in quite a while), written as a form of resistance against arbitrary evictions, and the resulting seized land then being used to make high-rise buildings or used by companies that pollute the environment. This was a very in-your-face opportunity for them and they pushed hard!
