Only thing I would add is to PLEASE make sure that your flyer (Tapejara, Lymantria, even Wyvern, etc) is on PASSIVE because otherwise if you accidentally get aggro while dismounted collecting an egg, your "ride" will take off and leave you stranded. This is the voice of experience speaking....
FYI: shooting from a mount is a pita on consoles… direction control switches to the left stick, which is still supposed to control the movement speed… steering and aiming is a nightmare.

When it hatches… if you can, reduce the follow distance to as short as possible for the walks.

Thick44's Strategy works for getting eggs too lol. I also like to put Air Cons on tables to create a bank of them in my hatchery

Pretty sure baby wyverns only eat wyvern milk which you get from female wyverns. They eat a LOT of

Yeah the rift has very few wyverns spawning. But the there is nests with no wyvern around the egg.
