A meri blouse also known in Papua New Guinea as meri kolos is a blouse commonly worn by women in Papua New Guinea. Today, there are many different styles of meri blouse available and those who sew these meri blouses have their own way of sewing them. They are versatile and can be worn in many different ways depending on the length of the blouses. The ones with longer lengths are worn as dresses while the shorter length ones are worn as tops or blouses and tunics. These blouses are produced mainly by women in SME sector and sold to PNG women in Papua New Guinea and even to those who live in Australia and New Zealand. These type of dresses were introduced by missionaries back in time. Other South Pacific Island countries such as Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Fiji may also have dress styles with similar history attached to the work of christain missionaries in the Pacific. In Papua New Guinea they are commonly used as Church attire. This is a step by step sewing tutorial on how to sew a meri blouse dress. This dress is an easy to wear dress and also easy to make dress without the use of a pattern. It can be easily adjusted to one's size preference and own styling options.

Can you give the measurements for the pockets please?
Will make a short video to try answer the question. Few other people asked too and I did not use any measurements. I just used my hand 🖐️ as a template to get the outline of the pocket piece. 🙏🏾
