Hi I’m Kate, part of the review team here at Holiday Extras and I’ll be talking about these things at the Hilton T5.
    1. The nearest terminal is Terminal 5. It’s 10 minutes away by Heathrow hop-off shuttle bus, which costs £4.50 per person one way. For more information about getting to the airport, click on the transfers tab.
    2. Parking at the hotel for the whole of your holiday is included in this package. There’s fencing, CCTV and you get to keep your keys.
    3. Rooms have king sized beds and triple glazed windows. Bathrooms have a deep fill bath, a power shower, mood lighting and surround sound. Guests consistently say that the rooms are clean and spacious, and that the beds are firm. Accessible rooms have walk in showers, visual and vibrating alarms. This hotel aims to be fully accessible.
    4. Wifi is free and guests have said that it’s a strong connection too.
    5. The Hilton T5 has two restaurants, Mr Todiwala’s Kitchen serves authentic Indian street food, and is run by celebrity chef Cyrus Todiwala, who cooked on Saturday Kitchen and for the Queen at her Silver Jubilee. Dishes here cost around £17.
The Gallery restaurant uses local, seasonal ingredients that are traditionally British, like 28-day aged beef from Casterbridge, Suffolk chicken and game pâté. A main here is round £21 and will be cooked to your liking. Both restaurants can cater for special dietary requirements.
    6. Breakfast is a large buffet, where you can help yourself to as much as you like. There are full English and continental items, and also an à la carte, offering things like pancake stacks or kedgeree which are made to order. If you want to save yourself a fiver, book breakfast at reception the night before.
    7. There are two bars at the hotel. The River bar overlooks the River Thames and serves drinks and food. Specialising in seafood and locally sourced produce. Expect to pay between £4.75 and £11 for a glass of wine. The Gallery bar has low lighting and muted decor, and serves cocktails costing around £11, as well as bears, wine, spirits and softs.
    8. The 24 hour gym has internet-enabled cardio machines and a range of weights. There’s also a spa with a herb sauna, mineral grotto, steam room and hydrotherapy pool. Treatments like facials and massages are charged extra and will need to be booked.
