Easy Vegetable Pulao Recipe by Syeda Asma

  • Oil: 200 ml
    Crushed Ginger & Garlic: 2 tablespoons
    Carrot, cubed: 500 g
    Peas: 500 g
    Cabbage: 300 g
    Salt: 1.5 tablespoons
    White Pepper: 1.5 tablespoons
    Black Pepper: 0.5 tablespoon
    Water: 2.25 liters
    Green Chilli, chopped: 100 g
    Capsicum, chopped: 400 g
    Chicken Stock Cubes: 3 pieces
    Soaked Rice: 1.5 kg
    Instructions:
    In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat.
    Add the crushed ginger and garlic, and sauté for a minute.
    Add the cubed carrots, peas, cabbage, green chilli, and capsicum. Cook for a few minutes until slightly softened.
    Season with salt, white pepper, and black pepper.
    Add the water and chicken stock cubes. Bring to a boil.
    Add the soaked rice to the pot. Stir gently to mix.
    Reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and cook for 25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
    Check for seasoning and adjust if necessary.
    Serve hot.
