Bruh, you started out the video like Kiritsugu has got his Thompson contender to YOUR head. No greeting, no intro, just "HE WILL SHOOT ME IF I WASTE TIME, NOW LETS GO"
Mages in the Nasuverse are absolutely obnoxious. Most of them are pragmatic, calculating, manipulative. They only have 3 absolute rules:
1. Do not reveal the secret of the Moonlit World(magical world) to common folks
2. No damble in Dead Apostle research
3. Don't practice anything that is forbidden
Other than the 3 rules, they can basically do whatever they want. They can slaughter a hospital full of infants and the Mage Association would ask them what were the result of your research/experiment because that's the only thing they care about.
And to these heartless and cold hearted mages. Kiritsugu Emiya is basically the equivalent of a Boogeyman. Dude terrified them so much and was so effective when killing them that they themselves called him The Magus Killer.

I mean i am pretty sure after a certain point the church would step in since they actually protect the common people, but fortunately there's always someone to stop psychopathic mages around, the aozaki sisters will intervene if they're in the area, there's people like the two shikis or shirou, arcueid and so on, basically most of our protagonists lol.
Also the counter force if a mage goes that far towards damaging mankind.

Specifically slaughtering a whole hospital isn't something they are supposed to do, First off because iit's noticeable. Kirei kidnapped orphans but put them n a cave to be discrete, no one knew about t. Enforcers and the department of policies are also specifically against criminal mages
Majoriy of mages do not care enough to be evil; greatest example is tokiomi: His main sin is his passivity and lack on background search on zouken, but he has never done anything blatantly evil. Nothing in his laboratory was unethical either, at worst it was dangerous for the inexperiences. As a father, he failed sakura. As a husband he was questionable but that's it. As a person he is nothng special, neither good nor evil. I wouldn't ever call him a good person, but neither a bad one
@@namoma4922 Yes. I was just giving an example. A crude one I know. But I just want to highlight how indifference most mages can be. As long as nobody knows about it and discreet enough to not draw attention then they would practically do anything

Fate Zero was my introduction to the Fate Series. Emotionally it is one of those series that was so different from anything I have seen and left a lasting impression. The best introduction to the Nasuverse that I could have. Therefore, Kiritsugu is my favorite character in all of Fate and I am kind of glad that the Fate Series has not done it spent too much time with him other than small cameos or references in passing. If they bring out a 5 start servant of him a TRUE mage killer with a 4 star Natalya, I would def whale for them

Although I don’t agree with his methods, he is a very skilled magus. Imagine if he properly trained Shirou in magecraft and gave him his tools and abilities like in the full potential Shirou video.
How is he a very skilled mage when most of his kit involves as little use of magecraft as possible. Hell most mages like bazett, luvia,rin, etc. hell most of the stuff that tsiah mentioned is the most basic shit that most mages can do
Kiritsugu isnt even an average mage.
He is specialized like Shirou. The magecraft he knows and uses are the basics like what Waver can do early in Zero with the exception that Kiritsugu COULD have been better if he trained properly instead of focusing on guns.
He is really lucky that his Origin just happens to be what he needs to do his job.

He has lots of potential after the war thanks to Rin and his limited journey to the clock tower tho.

Lets just point out, the Calico is a VERY unreliable gun. It typically jams after a handful of rounds regardless of how well you take care of it. So he had to be pumping some kind of mana or something into it to keep it running.
People always joked that he used reinforcement on it, not to increase it's power, but just to make it work properly.

It actually is reliable. It has a questionable reputation because of people who didn't follow the instructions; the helical magazine needs to be wound up a certain amount of rotations to feed correctly or it will jam. You can research this for yourself.

Except in general mans loses to any mage skilled at CQC and can dodge his origin bullets. In close combat he’d get bodied by people like rin, luvia, bazett, he was getting smacked around by kirei.
His biggest advantage is the element of surprise but if he loses that his entire kit goes down the drain

@@amari7782 he has abilities that aren't quite expected from most mages, and the arsenal he DOES have is quite powerful. He is dangerous to all mages, even to those that are capable of CQC

I mean bazett is a much better mage killer than him if anything it’s really just the origin bullets and most people just don’t really expect his methods.
When it comes to mages like rin luvia and kirei who can just brute force and dodge his bullets he gets one shot
In a strange and seemingly beautiful coincidence Kiritsugu technically is the "Bone of his Bullet" , while Emiya the remnant of his mistake whole heartedly believes he is the "Bone of his Sword" that'll in some way, no matter how long it takes will inevitably succeed in saving the world a dream borrowed from Kiritsugu his and only saviour.

so this is hypothetical and probably explained somewhere in the verse but it's mentioned that Kiritsugu didn't get the completed version of Time Alter. So do we know what that might have been like?
More levels of alteration? Cube Accel? or would it be more refinement so that it's less strenuous on the user itself?
I think it’s stated in his Bond 5 blurb in FGO that Chronos Rose is a Roided out version of Time Alter. So basically Max Time Alter would let him speed up so much he freezes time.
Kiritsugu's Time Alter is basically a practical trick he picked up by using what little of his father's crest Natalia bought back from the Association. The real time alter is a Bounded Field that infinitely accelerates time to see the end of the world.
It's pretty high-end stuff, so much Noritaka took a Sealing Designation because the Association decided it was non-replicable. Dr. Heartless planned to use it to turn Faker into a goddess in the Lord El-Melloi II Case Files novel.

Depends on who gets into the Emiya club.
Obviously we can include Irisviel, Illya, and Shirou, along with Illya and Kuro from the Prismillyaverse.
Beyond that it gets muddy, Miyu has a good claim to getting in, but do you include Taiga (obviously Taiga would be SSS tier if she did get in) Maiya, and other Emiya adjacent individuals.
Also, do you count Archer as separate from Shirou and should we factor in FGO versions of Illya, Iri, Kiri, and Shirou?
And the big question, is Artoria an honorary Emiya?

This guy reminds me of batman lol OF COURSE DIFFERENT PAST, DIFFERENT REASONS TO DO WHAT THEY DO, But still their method of doing things is really similar, always logical, always well prepared, doesn't rely on 'I'll just go ahead and a miracle will happen', doesn't have super human abilities , learnt the magecraft he needed and best suited him considering the free time he had in his life and he may not be the strongest, the faster, the smarter, the wiser but he is on a high level on most of them and above average on some of them making him really really capable of anything, compensating flaws with other trait , if he's not fast enough, he's got his magecraft, if he is not strong enough, he's got his gear, if he's not smart enough his got experience to back himself up , if he's not wise enough he researches and seeks for people who think outside his mideset to understand a situation, man he even got a sidekick, well in Kiritsugu's case is a chick who he f... but well still a sidekick, right ?
This is like the Batman if he actually killed his enemies.
And despite what happended at the end of Zero, which is the last part of his adventures, he was with no doubt a hero.
