Hudson, you make the content I could only dream so. Absolutely love this type. Reminds of how Discovery channel used to create content in the 80s and 90s.
My first photo workshop ever, really enjoyed it. The more you shoot wildlife the more you WANT to do it. Lee and I went back to the macaw/palm tree area after the workshop was over. It wasn’t the exact same spot but near there. There were 12 macaws perched in two trees going back and forth to the palm tree getting the nuts. It was fantastic!!!! And always a challenge with BIF. Beautiful birds. Another day we went to Corcovado National park and saw some good wildlife including a tapir swimming down river.
Truly Amazing workshop - great leadership, truly talented participants (I was honored to be in a group with them) - the +1s were a vital part of the experience - what a wonderful group! Thanks Dennis, David and Hudson, the only possible improvement would have been to have had Rick along. Thanks again - I look forward to doing another workshop with you in the near future.
Great insight of the workshop. Good job to all of you. It will be interesting to know how many were in workshop and what gear was used by participants and challanges that you guys faced and solved it one way or other.
A couple people besides me did have 400TCs. Another is a longtime 600TC owner. One had an 800PF. We also had an assortment of 500PFs, 600PFs 400 4.5s, 100-400s and some Sony and Fuji glass. Sony's 400 2.8 is certainly a gorgeous light masterpiece too. Yes. The trip was fabulous. Costa Rica'S tight rainforest and fast moving, close, dark subjects really favor the 400TC's speed and flexibility. It was a perfect match to the conditions, albeit an expensive one. It's a lens I've coveted for the 2 years since I first shot with David's in Costa Rica. The most versatile and lovely long lens I've yet used.
@@HudsonHenryPhoto Looks like a fun time! Lots of time shooting wildlife and sharing images with friends..and techniques!! Thanks for your quick reply Hudson!
It is amazong and we'd love to have you. We'll be headed back next year. Email our workshop coordinator to get on the advanced list... rick@hudsonhenry.com
We missed you Teri! You'd have LOVED it. Yes, it's only the 2nd workshop ever without women. I much prefer a gender balance, but there was a fabulous group of +1s thankfully at home base.
Another great workshop...I can't wait for the next one!

Looks like a great group of guys closer to my age!

12 participants, 3 instructors + extra assistants, largely Nikon, but also Leica, Sony and Fuji. Not many challenges. We had it dialed pretty tight.
Where was the 800 Z PF lens? Did all of you guys purchase 400 2.8 TC for this trip?? Looks like fun trip!!

Was going to say the same thing! All bros all the time? Yikes!
Yeah. Last time in Costa Rica the women outnumbered the men. I really love when it's balanced. ;)
