Some time ago I had ordered clockwork angel and it had this hole in the back. IDK why. But then you have to make the most horrible decision between sending it back and getting a new one or being able to read it emediately :(. I had to send it back and had to wait like 2 weeks before I could start it *cries*
Seriously. My copy of City of Bones came with so many marks on the cover and a big black plodge in the centre of one of the pages and my copy of 11.22.63 came with a broken spine. It was used and they sold it to me new. Safe to say I no longer buy from amazon 😂😂😂

I hate it when that favourite character has their own book in the series where they end up with the character you hate. I won't even try and read that book. But it's always their in the middle of a good series. Or when the charecter you hate has their own book. Just no.

That was me when I finally finished the Heroes of Olympus series, and then I read the Hidden Oracle and Percy Jackson was pretty much nonexistent, and then I got super hyped up for the Ship of the Dead because the cliffhanger at the Hammer of Thor...and then Percy was teaching Magnus sea-faring.
Me right now coz I just finished THE throne of glass series and the last book is coming out IN DECEMBER!!!! and I have this feeling that's telling me if I read any other book I will taint my mind and erase the throne of glass mood. But I can't NOT read.
Don't forget the "Next book in the series comes out in 20 million years!!"
My dad left my book in the rain overnight so I made him get me the hardcover anniversary edition
I did that and I now only have one Boruto graphic novel edition and one less sketchbook

Basically, my problem is that I'm WAY too curious for my own good. For example, I would be reading a book and I would fall in love with a character. Then, I would search that characters name up on Google (For some reason) And spoil myself of the entire plot of the story on Wikipedia and how my favourite character dies a horrible death.

When you're trying to read in bed but can't get comfortable and once you do you realize that your eyes are too heavy to read. You try to fight it but it gets to be too much and you end up sleeping on your open book and sometimes damaging the pages. (Mostly bending)
Also loaning someone a book just for them to either return it unread or in bad condition after a full year.
Cover Girlie Ughh I hate when I lend someone a book an they return it damaged!! I let someone borrow this one book that was 100 pages long and they gave it back to me after a year with the cover of the book folded and blue ink blotches on the front page that bled through several pages 🙃
And that's why I don't let people borrow my books ( other than a couple select family members).

Once I and my my fake friend 😡 discussed about what is more liked, books or movies (bc movies are just not like books, they take away the WHOLE world of the book, I love to imagine the world. I don't say I hate movies, but I prefer books) so I and her let a list go around in class, the others shall write their name to the thing they prefer. You know what, I was almost the only person by books, only one other classmate, also wrote her name on the book side. 😑 And they read so bad, I feel like, I would be finished already as they try to read out the first sentence like that umm let's take that for an example "Cath and Alison walk down the street" Classmate: "C-Cath and Allison walk d-down the..................................................................(teacher: Street)....... street." (Students mind prob.: Nailed it 😎😎😎😎)

My trouble is that I’m a really *FUSSY* book reader, so it takes me so long to find a book that I actually like. And then when I do, I read the whole thing in like one night, and then I just reread them for ages until I find another series 😂😂

I am the actual worst at finding books I like for that exact reason.
That was me and Harry Potter. I literally read nothing else for 5 months. I eventually made my family hide them from me so I would read something else.
You forgot a huge struggle: Lying in bed reading an omnibus and trying not to concuss yourself with the book when you can't hold it up any longer. One time, I lost that particular struggle. It hurt.
When the book ends way too soon and you don't know what you will do with your life afterwards because nothing will ever fill the void that was created by this book. And reading it again will never be the same, bevause you already know the story and aaaaaaah
When the movie of the book comes out and it's nothing like the book!!😡😡😡😡

When you think that the last book of a series has a lot of pages left and you continue reading thinking that'IT DOESNT END HERE' but then you finish the book and realize that the last 15 pages are the extract of some other silly book and there's absolutely NOTHING you can do about it
I've been burned by that. Now I chronically look to see if that is an issue with every book I read. But on the other hand, when it is the 1st chapter of the sequel that hasn't been released yet, it feels like Christmas.

My struggle is that there are instances when I can't read what I want because I don't have time for it, or they're too expensive. For example, I have nearly every Rick Riordan book that takes place in the Percy Jackson universe, but I can't read all of them because I have to study a lot for High School.

yeah I find them annoying, so I tend to remove it when i'm reading and when I've finished the book I put it back on
same!
I don't like that, but I also can't stand it when there is tape on the jacket to keep it on.
Honestly that does make me sad knowing I'll never be able to read every book in the world.
