I think the song is something about dirks candy funeral what with it being the first time that everyone is assembled in the same place for years. The more light hearted tone could be from the arrival of Aradia and Sollux and her corpse party shenanigans

This song is definitely for the new species that dirk and rose are making. the song is like wary and imposing at the beginning to parallel with how fucked up they're going to start, then the song goes into a much brighter kinder tune for when they get out of the uncanny valley, ending with a curious and hopeful feeling where the existence of relevance lies on the shoulders of these new species being able to play whatever sburb will be called this time

No im pretty sure the song is for Dirk climbing the tower and hanging himself. The bells in it are the exact melody a grandfather clock and some clock towers give and the title might be referring to the carapasians and kids gathering at the bottom to see his decapitated body

@@JadeJuno honestly? i dont know. i probably thought i read "assemble" and thinking about ult dirk i went into it blindly. or maybe i thought about people gathered around the bell tower.
we may never know. the lockdown did weird shit to my brain.
in any case i just looked it up to make sure and it's also a coding language, i quote "the conversion of instructions in low-level code to machine code"
