  • I enjoy checking the TanglePatterns.com website weekly to see what new patterns have been added. Kev was added on May 5, and as Barbara explained, “Kev is pretty versatile, and can be used as a tangle, a fragment, a border or banner, a background, or a filler.” In this video, I use it as a fragment to fill a large grid on a 3.5” tile. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
    Patterns used:
Kev by Barbara Duel Johnson, CZT
    Supplies Used in the video:
A 3.5” Zentangle tile (or any paper of your choice)
Black Micron 01 pen (or your choice of pens and colors)
    Graphite pencil
    Blending stump
    Optional: Colored pens or pencils
Most patterns that I use can be found on the Tangle Patterns website tanglepatterns... or on the Musterquelle website: www.musterquel... The Musterquelle site is in German, but you can change it to your language as needed.

Ooh, love this one. It’s my first grid pattern, and it came out. I’m like a 5-year-old showing off her kindergarten artwork! Thanks. Peace …

Thank you, Barbara, for this video. I found it a bit confusing, and I messed it up in some parts, but it looked nice when finished and shaded. :)

You’re welcome, Ingrid. I’m glad your tile came out ok. The little cheater tile helped me a lot, but I still had to concentrate. The focus like that is a great meditation so I can forget other things on my mind. 🥰

Do I have a mental block with Kev or what??!! I could not draw the string without using my Kev triangle as a guide. It reminds me a lot of that tangle that was part of Inktober (Trixyz) and I caught onto that one fairly quickly so I don’t know what’s wrong with me! I had complained to our friend Polly that I just couldn’t figure Kev out and she said you had done a video that I should watch. You were very helpful and I feel I will be able to soon set my Kev-tri aside! Thank you, Barbara ❣️

I really enjoy looking and I do not fast foreward as I find it relaxing to listen and then you can also see it’s not done in 1 2 3 you need to give it time, even the shading

Have to admit, that one was tricky to draw. Looks good in the end though.

It’s definitely a tricky one, which is why I drew the guide for each triangle. I hope you enjoy drawing it! 😊
