Supertrax Magazine Co-Publisher Motorhead Mark Lester gives his impressions of Ski-Doo's 2013 800R Renegade X featuring Ski-Doo's rMotion rear suspension.
This X-package version with rMotion and the new XS bodywork, is pretty much the highest form of the X-Over species.
The standard equipment load is enhanced with spring order-only running board preload and damping adjusters for the rMotion 137. After one ride in Yellowstone last spring we were convinced this is the best riding snowmobile on earth.

Can't beat motorhead mark's vocab. This guy never runs out of creative comparisons or adjectives!!
I love that it doesn't have a crazy decal package one of the only xs sleds that look decent
the nervousness is with single carbides. I put aftermarket 8" in the centers and moved my factory 4" to the outside, that helped a bunch also you can adjust the ski pressure with the rotary block on the rear skid, its not as bad as they say
i think its all the setup you can easily reduce ski pressure its not rocket science
Bit the bullet last season and bought a '13 Gade with 800 etec. 1,100 miles not a single issue rides like my '09 mxz did in the trails but very nice to have the extra track in the powder. I went with the 137x15 pre-studded track but if i did it over again i might go with the 137x16 and add studs myself. only bad part is it wont wheelie like the 09 did on hard pack because of the rMotion geometry.
I'd like to try one out. Hope it's better than the Freeride, wich has zero handling on trail above 40 mph, but sweet in powder
i watch your reviews all the time! i can't find a review on a 2015 MXZ X 800 R
I'm looking for a 2013 or newer.
Rode both and it's the bomb polaris rush all the way!!!!
Are the new 800 etecs blowing up like the old 800;s ? Id like to buy a 2013 with 2500 km but with the money im spending id like to know if the engine will hold up for at least 3 seasons or 8000 to 9000 miles ! Still scared to go with a renegade i ride lots of twisties !
@Flexfuel306 I completely agree with you the XF1100 turbo is the worst sounding engine! Nice video, love ski-doo!
why e-tec is less fiable then carb ?
What's you reviews on the 2012 800r etec renegade x?
Hah no prob. I know its like 90 degrees here and sticky as hell and that makes me think of nice cool snowmobiling!
First of all, awesome show every time!!! Though I do wonder, when you are testing a crossover why do you never cross over? I mean why do you never show them off trail? Do you know what lynx is and can you try one out? :)
i know Im pretty off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online?
@Elisha Pablo i use Flixzone. Just google for it =)
This guys canadian huh. Its seems like theyre the only ones who call it that
sounds like the real deal and i'am a die hard polaris guy.
You guys seem to really be asided to skidoo
somebody is butt sore. You know they crown polaris ad cats in other segments too.
motion first came out on the 2012 not 2011 duh
Joe neault nope x package came out in 2011
It's skee-doo not skadoo
Ha you guys are still talking about 2 stroke snowmobiles? Have fun buying that injector oil. Yamaha
I have been using the same gallon for 3 years now. I average 1500 miles a season(more if i did not have to work).
yes, I'm all about 2 stroke snowmobiles because I like performance and don't want a 4 stroke that weighs 60% more and has 40% less power
they both have they're place.
Have fun changing your oil and oil filters. And when she blows be ready for that repair bill.
Rush is better!!!!!!
its not skee-doo either its skid-doo (not spelled right but spelled how its pronounced)
+01hondascott It actually is pronounced Skee-doo. Thanks though.
+Dirt Trax Television not around these parts, love the show though can't wait for the new season, hope you guys test the new ski-doo enduro
Does it really even matter??
