Awesome rip and even better yet, PRS! I'm saving for a custom 24 08. I was playing through a mkiii and a mkii at my local guitar shop. And at nearly half the price with a 3 year warranty. I couldn't say no to the mkii. For what I do, the difference between the two wasn't an issue. And it's blue and white😊 not black. Tomorrow, I pick up a blackstar artisan 10ae. Thanks for the vid and playing!
I’ve played the Mk2 as a backline amp choice and it was a huge surprise. I think the Mk3 is even better. Absolute scream on intro dude. Blues with a feeling 💪 ❤
Ok, This is another great demonstration of the HT MKIII Amplifier Family... You deploy great playing to display the diversity of this amplifier... I have ordered the HT 100 MKiii Head... Looking forward to playing through it. God bless ✝️🙏 Merry Christmas ✝️👍🤙✌️
I testen one just today. I was very and pleasantly surprised with how good the clean actually was, better than most Marshalls. I played a H&K TriAmp MkII for years. The Blackstar's clean comes marginally close in my opinion. But also the lead channel kick ass.
Buddy, how are we supposed to note anything said on how good this amp is after an opening solo like you subjected the entire world to? What you have done with this video is show all of us how Eric Clapton must have felt when he saw Jimmy Hendrix play. That was sick man. How you have less than 16 thousand subscribers and 163 likes is a bit of a puzzle.
Great video as always. I have the same amp and I want to change the speaker to celestion vintage 30 or Greenback. Which one do you prefer for this amp?
We all know but don't like to admit it you have to spend a lot of money to get that PRO Sound. It seems intentional. I always said to myself why is that. BlackStar is getting close to giving us great tone at great prices. Not sure if they're quite there yet. But you did say you used it on a gig. I know personally the ht1 and ht5 are awesome home amplifiers.
Dude I AGREE. Even this simple RUclips recording thing I do took a huuuuuge chunk of change to achieve. I mean talk about the most basic of basic stuff, a cable. If you want a good quality cable that will LAST and not fail mid recording, you have to spend upwards of $60. No way around it. Who just needs one cable in life 😂. It racks up. And yes blackstar building all of that into the thing you need anyway to play guitar(amp) I think is a really smart move. All of this was recorded using their cabsim.
I am cheap so I know all about inexpensive stuff. On all of it there's something missing and I don't know if it's intentional or not. I'm not naive I get the thing about marketing. Us poor people should be able to have good tone. Come on BlackStar I'm waiting
I get the cheaper companies are using diode clipping for their overdrive channels. Which is more inexpensive to build. But does have its limitations at live gigs. As you can tell I thought about this. LOL
Your wish has INSTANTLY come true! I played many chords and demonstrated the amp to its entire tonal ability. There are plenty of other videos that did just as good if not better job than I did. Blackstar chooses us as a group so you can find the player that resonates with you most 🤌🏼
No fair using your trusty Goldie makes everything sound 10 times better. Ha ha. Not sure this will knock your ole Silktone or Supersonic out of the lineup, but sounds toneful for sure.

Great performer, you play the guitar like a devil!
I think we all expect Blackstar to sound so bad that when we play one and it sounds decent (not great but decent) our brains are so confused we excite ourselves into joy. I have one of the Fly 3 amps from them and its enjoyable. The problem with Blackstar in the past is they do not like dirty power from venues like small clubs or bars. So for the at home player its great. For the touring musican they are less reliable than the other traditional brands. And once they go bad they offer no schematics and alot of times its cheaper to buy a new one than to replace a few capacitors. I worked as a luthier in a Guitar Center back 15 years ago and we had a pile of bad ones that we warrantied out by swapping them with a new one. Basically Disposable amplifiers. I dont know how this current generation of Blackstar amps are, but I will say the newer St James seemed really well designed and better built than those from 5 years ago. You are definitely getting some tasty tones from this one. But i just cant get past that pile of bunk amps at gC. All we ended up doing was tossing them and we ended up keeping the speakers.
I'm not a gigging musician but I play daily and loud. I still have an mk1 blackstar ht20 that is going on I guess 6 years old this December. Other than a speaker upgrade and new tubes I've done nothing to the amp. You are correct about the clean power and I believe it is one of the major reasons people believed their amps were broken back in the mk1 days. I had the crackling, hissing, and popping that the forums write down as cold solder joints or the tube sockets coming off the board. I decided to invest in a power conditioner primarily to protect my expensive amps and pedals and it immediately silenced the blackstar. It's a $500 amp, an incredible $500 amp. I play it daily over a couple of amps that were 3xs that price. However, like you said, if tragedy strikes there's no opening it up with a solder gun and a few capacitors to buy 3 more years, it's congratulations on the new mdf cab bc the amp is dead.
Came for the amp, stayed for the tunes. Pleasure listening to your playing!
Thank you for watching!!
That intro jam was savage. 👊🏻

Nasty! killing it on that intro. Cheers from the UK :)

What is different between the MKii and the MKiii? Thanks.

Sick playing, demo and amp. Sounds juicy.
Love the clean tones !

I can't decide if I like the amp more or the incredible guitar playing!
Excellent playing sir!
that intro is the new BBQ man cooking show theme soundtrack for the next decade buddy! 💪🍖
Sounds fantastic!
It’s a great amp!!
Awesome playing Buddy, your getting a Great Tone ❤ 🔥 🎸
Nice playing Man...
Thank you!

That clean sounds like a Deluxe reverb
Excellent video.
Cool dog, has that knock 💩 off the shelf tail. Love this video, fantastic playing.
For 11 years, I haven’t placed anything on a table and left it there 😂 tail’s stronger than a grown man’s arm haha
Hello, do offer any courses on playing guitar or where did you learn to play like that? 🔥

This is better than ht
Stage 60 112 ?
Would you choose this over the new Bad Cat amps?
I haven’t really tried the black cats in depth
Always remember Buddy, tone is in the fingers, muhahaha! 🥸
@19:05 Maui vibe??? 😍😍
My channel 2 has way too much 60 cycle hum
Jeebus, save some notes for the rest of us guy.
The notes that came from watching your channel? Call me the Robin Hood of RUclips 😂
i wish people would play chords instead of lead guitar all the time, i like to know how the amp sounds overdriven playing an acdc like song.
Your wish has INSTANTLY come true! I played many chords and demonstrated the amp to its entire tonal ability. There are plenty of other videos that did just as good if not better job than I did. Blackstar chooses us as a group so you can find the player that resonates with you most 🤌🏼
just bought this amp with blue tolex for 300 brand new guy said he never used it!
That is a ridiculously good deal!
If only they were reliable and repairable
Didn’t it just come out like a couple months ago
@@gunnar1797 im assuming its not any better than mkii …. Or any blackstar has been for the last 15 years
It has EL 34 tubes, not EL 84's.
Glass toobz go hothot
But yes you’re right

Nice playing! Nice amp! Better than the Mk I and II!
That amp clearly can’t keep up with your playing! Sounds weak and thin. Rock hard pass. Love your playing and that was the best thing in this one.
oh come on if you arent doing 32 notes a second you're not even tryin lol
It's a cheaply made solid State toy
You said 2 el84’s but it’s 2 el34’s 🥸
