- Georgian police pushed back thousands of protesters who blocked the entrance of the Parliament in Tbilisi. The protesters had staged an all-night demonstration against the Russian-style 'foreign agents' bill, which is to be debated later today in the Parliament. The bill, which requires organisations, receiving more than 20% of their funding from abroad, to register as agents of foreign influence or face fines, is being opposed by Georgians, and the U.S.-led West. It has come to be seen as key to whether Georgia continues its push for European Union & NATO membership, or instead builds ties with Russia. Watch for more details.

What is the problem with a bill like that ? It makes sense.... nothing wrong in knowing who is funding things the world is full of examples of foreign powers using funding in other countries to effect government changes....this bill would put an end to that so i would view that as a good thing
