The best way to figure out how big to make yours is to start off with a 4x4 chunk farm (or how every big your farm is) and farm it for 10 minute. Figure out how much you farmed then have a farm that is 7 times that (add 6 more layers that are the same size)

Growing speed isn’t a problem if you have enough layers, and carrots sell for so much more than everything else

Wheats worth more per wheat but you only get 1. With carrots and the hoe I get 16 carrots per plant. Making carrots worth more.
