Celebration of Graduates 2022 (Trinidad & Tobago) Feature Address by Dr. Maryam Abdool Richards

On Saturday 3rd December 2022 the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business hosted our first Celebration of Graduates since the COVID-19 pandemic. At this year's celebration we were able to celebrate the graduation of over 500 students from 10 degree programmes accross 3 graduating years. We also celebrated the graduation of our first group of undergraduate students for the Bachelor of International and Sustainable Business degree.
The feature address was given by Dr. Maryam Abdool Richards; Alumna of the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business; Principal Medical Officer with responsibility for Institutions at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Richards is the recipient of the 2022 National Award, the Chaconia Medal - Gold - for long and meritorious service tending to promote national welfare or strengthen community spirit.
Dr. Abdool-Richards has been a sterling contributor to healthcare delivery during the uncertainty and disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her leadership was instrumental during the development and implementation of the 'parallel healthcare system' in Trinidad & Tobago which provided care to COVID-19 patients while reducing stress on the main healthcare systems in the country. She quickly became a familiar face on the daily Ministry of Health press conferences where many citizens relied heavily on the updates and statistics presented.
