they're actually not disbanding. it was just announced that they renewed their contract with the company. the reason why rumors about them disbanding started was because they were taking so long to announce the renewal 😭 also their company announced they're planning to release a new album soon and go on a "mega world tour" but I'm assuming the world tour won't happen until 2025 'cause they just recently finished their last tour 😭

If Lisa was under contract do you think that YG would have let her perform at Wild Horse? The other thing is that they have no guarantee that when they sign the contract that they are not going to get the 2NE1 treatment where if BABYMONSTER becomes successful then YG will start to ignore BLACKPINK and eventually disband them. I believe the BLACKPINK girls when they say that they want to be with their BLINKS but YG has mishandled them in the past by not allowing them to put out more music, which they probably have a catalog of stuff unreleased because "Ready for Love" we heard them recording that like over three years ago in "Light Up the Sky." So how many other songs have they recorded since debut that is unreleased and just waiting in some back catalog? I think that the BLACKPINK girls don't want to lose the leverage that they have over YG and the only reason that they are still in talks with YG is because they want to keep the BLACKPINK name for their group. All I can say is that there is probably some complicated stuff going on behind the scenes with the contracts and it has more than just money involved.
