i am from hamburg. big city. too big. i used to live in hannover a long time ago and i miss it so badly. it is my second home. even if it looks ugly sometimes, this is where i have grown up and that vibe never leaves you. i am still so much in love with the people i have met there like 35 years ago. unreal. i wish i could return to that innocent feeling i have encountered when i was younger.

@@brahimsadallah2328 no, i am back again in northern germany, not even far away from hannover, but there is some special feeling about this city i can not describe. the southern parts of germany made me scratch my head in confusion. I would rather live in the netherlands than in bavaria (munich) or baden-württemberg (stuttgart).

@@kaisander939I can feel that. I live in Hildesheim and feel the same way about Hildesheim and also Bremen. Also like Lübeck, Emden, and Hamburg. But Bremen, Hildesheim and Hannover mean so much. Even tho Hannover is quite boring compared to Bremen or Hamburg, but the people are good. And I also feel the same way about south Germany. When I was in Munich for the first time, I had a cultural shock with unfriendliness of locals. When I returned to northern Germany it was a bit of fresh air, sure Hannover is not so polished, but people are more real there than in posh Munich.

Ich bin in Hannover geboren und aufgewachsen, war aber schon länger nicht mehr da, lebe seit Jahren in einer anderen Stadt. Für mich ist es ein ungewöhnlicher Anblick, daß die Straßenbahn am Bahnhofsvorplatz nicht mehr fährt 😂! Wenn ihr in Hannover seit, dann macht euch auf den Weg zum Steintor, dort gibt es einen kleinen Pizzaimbiss, der die "Beste gefüllte Hose" / Calzone, verkauft.

Bin auch aus Hannover und lebe jetzt im Norden. Den Pizzaimbiss kenne ich sehr gut, und die machen die beste Calzone. War früher oft da.🎉

Beautiful city and nice walkaround video of it. I'm from New Zealand and while on a three week holiday from mid October 2022 to early November 2022 visiting my younger sister who was living in London, England at the time, we flew over to Germany, stayed a night in Berlin and then took the train across to Hannover, where we stayed two nights. Got to attend the Hannover 96 vs Karlsruher 2. Bundesliga game where the local team won 1-0. It was an eye opening experience attending the game including walking past the train station when the away fans arrived.
Football isn't as big in New Zealand as it is in Germany, we are most commonly known for our National Rugby Union team nicknamed the "All Blacks", but it was fantastic to be able to have attended that game, experience the tribal rivalry of German Football and see Hannover 96 win. I'm also glad to have had time to explore the city although being a Saturday at the time there were fewer places open and not as many people around.

Germany is a magnificent country, and the buildings, management, organisation etc is really good. In the UK it is very much the opposite in comparison. I was in Hannover in the early 80s, it was AMAZING, and still looks fine today.

Sehr interessant, ist meine Heimatstaft, leider macht die Kameraführung den positiven Eindruck zunichte. Zu oft schnelle Schwenks zu einer Seite, dann sofort wieder Schwenk zur anderen Seite, das strengt sehr an, einfach mal die Pausentaste drücken zwischendurch, nicht alles in einem Rutsch filmen.
