I agree, carbon tax is only one fault mr Trudeau has unleashed upon us Canadians. I think theres far too many to even list at this point!
Hard to care about the " price of pollution" when you can't afford food and shelter. Like this is beyond insane.
The prices aren't dependent on this, but poor farming practices, corporate ownership of the farms and most of the food processing and distribution.
Where is this "climate emergency" these eco zealots keep harping about, been hearing about the world ending since the 70's. Canada isn't even in the top 10 of world polluters, Brazil is #10 and they pollute 0.8%, that means Canada produces less than half of 1%. Cars run cleaner, lead removed over 45 years ago from gasoline, incinerators burn clean. The carbon tax is nothing but a cash grab.
@@ninemoonplanetread the room. People are sick of the liberals.
@@ninemoonplanet well that is true and I agree somewhat ...simply put taxing " carbon" will always trickle down to the consumer.... It costs more to ship goods then it will immediately cost more to buy such goods. ... Everything we consume has to be shipped . Somehow. So taxing carbon is taxing every single thing we buy as consumers.
Learn to manage your money then.
Folks, just to be clear, this is not journalism. This is a liberal strategy panel.

Yeah, cuz people definitely don't shift consumption and production based on cost
Carbon Tax doesn't help the environment, it is proven already. You can't fix CLIMATE CHANGE by TAXING people's gas, home heating, and food. You do it by using technology and innovation. Besides, Canada has such a small population compared to other countries in the world, that even if we all disappear tomorrow from the world, climate change wouldn't even feel it. We are not the US, China, Russia or India. We don't pollute much, we are a handful of people living in a country full of forests.
It's called a deterrent for the wealthy polluters.
@@grahammorehouse8552 It is not deterring wealthy polluters, it is taxing the mom who's driving her children to school, it is deterring the guy who's driving to work in -35 weather. Can someone explain how the carbon tax prevents forest fires or helps the forestland burnt in Alberta? I heard multiple references to the Alberta fires but I fail to understand the implied connection between the tax and reversing environmental impact? Is the tax going to fund better forest management? To me it looks like an attempt to associate an improvement to the tax without having to explain how it improves anything.
sigh.
Rising climate temperatures dry out the forests, then those forests are weaker. Just one lightening strike and instead of a smaller fire, there are major fires.
That's the connection between burning billions of gallons, litres of fossil fuels and disasters.
@@ninemoonplanetit’s just a coincidence that the fires started on may 24 weekend too right
@@ninemoonplanetmost of the increase in wildfires is due to negligence on the part of people. Litterally most of our wildfires are due to negligence of humans, and not due to climate change, our own stat tracking shows this lmao.

If the rest of the world adopted our current pre-carbon tax energy policies, global emissions would tank. This is nothing more than a tax disguised as an emergency. So is nuclear war but yet we live on. So is the fear of disease. Yet we live on. Policy is ultimately the matter and not the need for unified action. If not, why the exemptions? Why is Canada paying to reduce carbon emissions when we produce less than 1% of the total carbon emissions for the entire planet? We know who the main offenders are so why are we picking up the tab for them? Even if we do reduce our emissions it doesn’t change the amount that the other countries are producing. So this effort is futile. We need to start holding the real offenders accountable.
