I just had cataract and glaucoma surgery, so can't wear makeup yet. Trying to get into the routine of washing my face in the morning and before bed. Never really had a skin care routine before.

This is literally my exact routine. I’m only 19 but I’ve had problems with my skin since about 12 y/o. NOTHING worked. My doctor put me on birth control which helped reduce it, but didn’t prevent it or get rid of it. I would find a face wash that worked for the first week, and then never again. But then I found these specific products. It’s been about 2 months of using them & my entire face is basically clear. I’m still healing the post acne marks, other than that I have nothing!!
Your advice and way of explaining is really great. I care about my skin as much as my life. Because the structure of my skin is different and does not accept every product. Or rather, it doesn't work. However, I would like to point out one thing that I bought a cream called RWLMAX cream 3 months ago. It really cleared up the dry layer on my skin and the acne I was uncomfortable with in a really quick time. I really couldn't believe it. I really recommend you to try it. Because it works!
I had cystic acne for years....changing my diet ,LOTS of water,exercise AND great benzoyl peroxide cleaners like this one cleared it all up👌🏽....gonna add the serum to my routine to see if it’ll help with my bad texture that I feel look like moon craters on my face now that it’s clear😪😪 😭

I bearly got the acne foam cleanser, the daily mositurizing lotion and the Hydrating sunscreen broad spectrum spf 50 mineral sunscreen. Going to test then out to see if my acne goes away. I will keep you in touch with everyone😊
@@CaliCurls For the acne foam cleanser it has gone soo well its been a week now and i noticed results already my acne is not completely gone but its much much less severe and the lotion is fantasticc. The only product i did not like was the cerave spf 50 because it doesnt dry and it looks to ghosty. Next time i will buy cerave spf 30 :) hope this helps everyone to not commit the same error as me
Hey love! Yes, I used to suffer from back acne when I was younger and it started clearing right after high school. I used to cover up and wear tight shirts so I watched that and made sure my back was able to breath... drinking a lot of water made a difference. You might want to check the soap you're using as well...some have harsh ingredients that make it worse.
I use Biroe charcoal soap on my back! I cannot use it on my face, it's too harsh and strong. But for some reason it works amazing on my back, it's the only thing that keeps my back/chest completely clear and gets rid of any break outs fast!
I bought CeraVe foaming cleanser and moisturizing lotion recently and after using it for 2 straight days I stopped as it didn't suit my skin at all, it gave me nasty small bumpy breakouts I was so upset as I wanted to make CeraVe my holy grail but sadly it isn't for my skin, I have combination skin and get acne sometimes. Be mindful not all products will suit all skins. In my case, it was really bad, and thank God my Neutrogena hydro boost cleanser and moisturizer cleared away the bumpy breakouts.

Unfortunately cerave burn my face first time I use it ,rash an all I really wanted to love it but if it work for others GOOD I have sensitive/dry skin that one of the main reasons I bought it but it didn’t work for me.
DON’T! When you use the peeling solution it says to use a *gentle* cleanser, and sense this is an exfoliating cleanser using it along with the peeling solution would be way too harsh. (Make sure you’re using the peeling solution twice max) and after the peeling solution check how your skin is reacting, and if it’s still sensitive use the gentle cleanser again. Find a good balance between the two products! Never together! :) 💞
Flora yes you can. I've been using it for a while and I love the way it's done my skin. It will not hurt at all. I use this brand but I also use another brand as well. But it's also helped with my acne scars. I turned 41 in July this year. Which is I've always been real good about trying to put moisturizers and things on my face and I'm not trying to toot my own horn. But I don't look 41. I tried to tell girls that are younger than me if you go ahead and start taking care of your skin the earlier the better but at least by 14 15 years of age. When you get to be my age you won't look that old witch is I'm not saying I'm old LOL. But the point is is if people would just start taking care of their skin a lot earlier in life is going to be better later on in life in other words. But I love this product I truly do. Every night! I make sure to use sunscreen daily. The PM is more hydrating (why it's for nighttime for repair) and the day one isn't as thick but for me the day one I would use during winter when my skin is dryer. I have combination skin and the ultra-light moisturizer SPF is perfect for me. Hope that helps!
When I have active breakouts, I use both day & night and when my skin is clear, I'll just use at night and in the mornings use Garnier's micellar water.
Can i use resurfacing retinol serum with pm lotion in the same routine? Because im afraid it will be too drying if i only use the retinol serum. And which one should i apply first?
A retinol like that you put under your moisturizer. However most prescription retinols are put on top of the moisturizer. Including Adapalene (Differin), and tretinoin (Retin-A).

attaesthetic u should try nizoral anti dandruff shampoo. The thing u have is probably fungal acne, u use it as a face mask in ur forehead for 5-10 minutes. I know it may be scary using a shampoo but I have reeaalllyyy sensitive acne prone skin and it’s really good just a bit drying but it works after like one use. U can get it basically anywhere :) Good luck!!!
If it's tiny bumps, it's probably not acne but keratosis pilaris, and here the salicylic acid face wash from CeraVe can help. Try and watch doctor drays videos on the topic here on RUclips :) but be a little careful, if it is keratosis pilaris, it happens in people with dry skin so I would be careful with the acids as they can be drying if you use them every single day in the face. What I do is to do the hydrating cleanser every other day. Benzoyl peroxide can be quite drying so I would stay far away from that :)

Another tip is when you apply products don't pull down on your face as it can make you look older , instead apply up so it tightens the skin
Also press the product with your hands. It can help absorb the active ingredients deeper especially when you have oily skin

if it is the cleansers that burn try the equate walmart version, it works better. The Cerave cleansers burned my skin too, the walmart version didn't.

No, just during the day. I used a moisturizer at night.

attaesthetic u should try nizoral anti dandruff shampoo. The thing u have is probably fungal acne, u use it as a face mask in ur forehead for 5-10 minutes. I know it may be scary using a shampoo but I have reeaalllyyy sensitive acne prone skin and it’s really good just a bit drying but it works after like one use.

The benzyl peroxide in the product would help that. I have cystic acne (the hardest acne to treat) and it helped me.
If it's tiny bumps, it's probably not acne but keratosis pilaris, and here the salicylic acid face wash from CeraVe can help. Try and watch doctor drays videos on the topic here on RUclips :) but be a little careful, if it is keratosis pilaris, it happens in people with dry skin so I would be careful with the acids as they can be drying if you use them every single day in the face. What I do is to do the hydrating cleanser every other day. Benzoyl peroxide can be quite drying so I would stay far away from that :)

Try their ultra light lotion sunscreen. IT’s doesn’t leave white cast and has a matte finish. :)

Cerave is awesome but their sunscreens make me look like a ghost. They really need to do something about that
They have an ultra lightweight one, i believe it’s matte and it’s so bomb without the white cast.
