Thanks man! That shot in Sparta is probably my favorite on the entire Southern Division and I've never shot a train there with the lighting and fog like that, it made for an awesome shot! I was debating whether I should have chased this up the line or not, but figured just chasing the early morning part of it would be enough to document the rare daylight run. Glad to see you had such a good chase from Port Jervis to Hancock.
Thanks Kyle! When I pulled up to the crossing I was happy to see the shot wasn't completely backlit but when I got over the crossing my jaw dropped lol, I knew the shot was going to be incredible. School actually starts at 7:35 and I'd usually have to be there at 8:15 (since I have late arival) but we're on an advisory schedule until Wednesday so I don't have to be in school until 8:35. I'm pretty sure this was just a one time thing, but I really have no idea what they plan on doing lol.
Thanks a lot man, glad I was able to take advantage of it. That must've been really sweet haha, I remembered seeing my bus driver back in June when I was waiting in Newfoundland for the SU-100 and wondered if he was happy to see the train.
When I tell you I NEVER thought I'd railfan before school I really never thought that it'd be possible prior to this haha. Glad you liked it dude, I really had an awesome time chasing this one.
Nice video Steve, thats pretty extreme waking up early to railfan before school starts, lol, I Iove the shot with lake and the mist rising up at 4:33. Really enjoyed this one!
Awesome video! I loved the shot at Sparta with the water and mist, it was killer!! It's awesome how you got to railfan before school haha, what time do you go to school anyway? You told me yesterday but Inforgot lol. How long do you think this wacky SU99/100 schedule will keep up?
Great video of the rare morning SU99! I have to say that I actually saw this walking to my bus this morning and thought that no one would chase it.

Thanks John! The shot at Sparta came out much better than I thought it was, the rising water vapor made it much more dramatic.

Awesome video! I wonder why the SU99 ran so early this morning.
Nice catch! This was an early bird indeed!
Thanks dude, I think that's the topic of the day for NYS&W fans lol.
