    Just a heads up (mom of 3 with our last on the way) hospitals recommend baby’s going home outfit to either be a pant outfit or a footie pajama. With gowns there is no split between the legs for the car seat strap and buckle to fit. Only way to make it fit would be to bunch the whole bottom of the gown up which will leave baby’s legs bare and also not recommended to have all that access fabric bunched up under the buckle.

      I assumed they would and it would be uncomfortable for her so I brought the footies for the ride home ☺️

    I just watched a video from a labor and delivery nurse and she said unless you’re willing to throw your blanket away, don’t bring it. Stick with hospital blankets. They have warm blankets for you. Otherwise you risk getting your blanket full of blood, spit up and other fluids. She mentioned almost every time someone brings a blankets, they have to throw it away. Also, I highly recommend invest in a noise machine for baby’s nursery to block out the neighbors. I’m pregnant now with baby #5. Due in September. Congrats to you! Ps: I’m 17 weeks and already nesting BIG time!

      I disagree. I'm pregnant with baby #6 and have brought my own blanket for every single baby. It makes the stay so much more comfortable and I have never had to throw away any blanket I've taken with. It doesn't go under me It goes on top of the blanket the hospital provides...and it definitely isn't used while pushing baby out

    I never washed my kids clothes with special detergent. Their clothes were also washed with my clothes. When you have a baby you are tired. No need for extra loads of laundry
    I did however use specific shampoo and body wash for them.

    Congrats mama!! I’m pregnant with baby #2 and about to film “what’s in my hospital bag” soon. There are sooo many things I didn’t use the first time around but it’s all relative- it depends on how the birth is, what the hospital offers & so on. It’s all so exciting though❤ And that diaper changer is seriously the best- you will loveeee😊

    I was told at the birthing center my daughter must have some outfits with pants or else she would not fit into the car seat and they would not let her leave. Not sure if that applies to a hospital birth as well!

    • @PastelMangoRoseh
      @PastelMangoRoseh Год назад

      I’ve never heard that before, pants help a baby fit into a car seat?🤔

    • @philettalawson7703
      @philettalawson7703 Год назад

      @@PastelMangoRoseh I believe she misspoke. I understood what she meant. She means because the gown does not have a split between the legs for the car seat buckle to fit. Hospitals recommend having a baby either in a pant outfit or a footie pajama. In a gown you will have to bunch it all the way up to be able to buckle baby which will leave legs bare and it’s also not good to have all the fabric bunched under the straps
