James is so young, yet so wise. The ideas are so profound but the concepts are so simple. Great job, James. I can tell that you will go far in life by helping others. Keep on teaching and sharing.
Wow, I am the first to comment. Excellent video. I am retiring on April 18th. What am I doing now to prepare for it? I am working two part time jobs. The idea of me not working is very alien to me. I've been doing it for 5 decades, can't stop now. Right? :-)

Thanks for your video. I am 67 and have been working for over 50 years, it is very hard for me to retire completely. My plan is to retire in June 2024 but I will be working 2 part time jobs. Job1 - winter season - Teaching he USCG Captains License Class (12 weeks per year) Job2 - Summer season - Teaching people how to use maneuver there boats on the water. (20 hours per week)
Thank you for sharing these important nuances & often overlooked aspects of retirement planning. Much appreciated. Your mentioning of James Clear & small wins in changing habits reminded me that, I should re-read James Clear’s “Atomic Habits”. 😊
James always provides thought provoking information. Item #3 is the most challenging for me. You can not buy friends, hobbies or a myriad of non-tangible things. Takes a different kind of work to acquire those. James is spot on when looking to retire without them.
Great explanation of how to focus on money as a means rather than a goal. Please do a video that emphasizes money as a tool for improving life before retirement? Many young people want to focus on making the most of their money now rather than in some distant future. Retirement is a turn-off.
Good job. I love the time stamps. Like that sometimes there are no right or wrong answers. Sometimes more money isn't the right way. But often times it is.

Me too. I’m in my 60s. I can’t imagine not working. I’ve worked since I was 15!
Oh boy did I find myself cringing. This was unexpected and valuable. Keep it up.
Thanks for your video.

I love this video, so much ‘common sense’ which of course isn’t so common.Simple words that are no less powerful for their simplicity.
Thank you Neil!
