I hope so too! Fascinating birds!! I’d never heard of Great Bustards until today - the Great Bustard is the featured bird on National Audubon Society’s 2023 bird of the day calendar 😊. Thanks for a great video!
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO SAVE GREAT INDIAN BUSTARD TOO...THEY ARE THE HEAVIEST FLYING SPECIES UPTO 4 FEET TALL ...ONLY 150 LEFT IN THE WHOLE WORLD IN RAJASTHAN INDIA..I AM WEEPING FOR THEM...PLEASE GREAT SPIRITS SAVE THEM ...
No. They're endangered birds due to the constant regression of their habitat, it doesn't help that they're poisoned by the use of pesticides too. I guess the dedicated bustard owner of this interview has a license.
There are probably a little more than 26000 individuals in the world actually, mainly in Spain and Russia. UK has approximately 100 of them. This bird prefers vast meadows and steppes. As many countries like France choose to reforest their reserve, the bustard tend to disappear.

That is a great idea! Providing you can, still, be sure of their safety? Possibly get in touch with David via his website for advise?

In Poland too. In 1930 bustards used to be very common, but they turned extinct since 1986.

Is it legal to keep pet Great Bustards? I'd love to have these as pets on my small farm as pets, walking around my fields.
You need to look up this man on Google and contact him?
