Blind Guardian is far more than just Power Metal. They know how to use the Orchestra in a proper way. their latest Release had some issues, but they are pretty "Symphonic". And the new stuff by xandria is way better than BTB. I still like BTB though but Xandria have the better Songwriting and lyrics. This is just random in my eyes
@Stefaan Marckx fully agree with you. i actually discover the band yesterday, and i must have listened to 2 full albuns already, played my favorite on the guitar, and dreaming of one day be good enough to be able to make videoclips for bands like them (i'm a video producer, full time only at 6 months).

Because they are very young and somewhat generic so it's hard to get attention. They anyway are very big for their age I think, mentioning their participation at Epica's and Powerwolf's tour and the big marketing campaign. The last one can also become a problem, because many metalheads (including a part of myself) think they were cheating.
Beyond the black ... I was a fan of Within Temptation when I discovered this group I just loved it !!! they deserve a lot more popularity, when did concerts in France !! I would love to see them :D
They really do remind of successors to within temptation. WT is my favorite metal band and these guys could be just as epic as they are if they continue this route.

They already played Wacken 3 times! They have great support and well deserved. One of the best bands I discovered in the last years.
