cwf from florida was the best thing to happen to me 1974 on channel 68 then 47 was great in new York rip dusty and all the great wrestles that was down in flordia
It was Dusty Rhodes who turned on Ron Bass. Back in 1980-1 Rhodes made a sacred promise to the American people never to wrestle Harley Race again. But in 1983 Rhodes broke his word and conspired with the promoters and the NWA executives to steal Ron Bass's opportunity to face Harley Race for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Bass was the holder of the Southern Heavyweight title at the time, so by the normal rules and practices and all that is right and fair, Race should have faced Bass and not Dusty Rhodes. The NWA and the promoters further compounded their evil by making Bass the special guest referee for this match. From the above footage we footage we see that Rhodes always transgresses the sacred rules of the sport. Bass can finally stand no more and chooses honor above friendship.

Classic wrestling back in the day R.I.P. legends
I remember watching this like it was yesterday! Gordon Solie paved the way for future play by play announcers!
I think everyone turned on Dusty. Good way to set up a fresh run of matches
RIP to everyone in this clip
Damn. Ron had done several blade jobs.
RIP Gordon and Cowboy Ron Bass
Ron Bass should have gotten a shot at world championship.
Errol Waguespack he got lots. Never won.
Greedy D yes I since found that out went through some of my pro Wrestling illustrations collection from the early 80's
RIP Ron Bass.
Dusty Rhodes very gingerly sitting back to apply the figure four after looking absolutely gassed in the latter part of the match/film
It seemed that Dusty Rhodes and Hulk Hogan had the same problem when it came to friends :-p
Memories
Rip to all of them
Today 3-8-2016.
No one better than Gordon Solie.

Joe Darcy Amen!
Kerry Cline there was a lot of legit tension between bass and dusty at the time from what I understand

Bob Caudle was good
Might not have been the best but was a solid announcer.
Always enjoyed Bob over David Crockett.
RIP Ron Bass.
